Right now America seems to be at a crossroads and, as I’ve been saying for the past four years, the “key players” are the republicans – in this case the republicans in the Senate. Sadly, once again in America the question of “is no one above the law” is on display. This time it’s the “deeds” of individual 1 which are “on trial.” I predicted this day within hours of Barack Obama saying “we’re going to look forward instead of back” shortly after taking the oath of office – which says whoever takes that oath promises to: “defend the constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic.” President Obama chose to “look the other way” from a president and vice president who publicly admitted to authorizing WAR CRIMES ie TORTURE- among other “high crimes and misdemeanors.”

Before them, George HW Bush actually pardoned those involved in the Iran/Contra scandal, of which then President Bush was likely the “ringleader.” In addition, Ronald Reagan was NOT an “innocent bystander” to that scandal as well despite being “exonerated.” Of course, before them was Gerald Ford, he of the pardon for Richard Nixon who predated Ford. Ford was the vice president because Nixon’s original VP was indicted for corruption and had to resign his position as Nixon’s vice president. What’s my point? Well, apparently, the idea “no one is above the law” is nothing more than a sentence Americans in Congress like to repeat. We’ll soon find out if things are going to change for “we the people.”

The list of criminal activity by individual 1 while he’s been in office is too long for just one post – although the obvious issue right now would be focused on his attempts to turn America into a fascist dictatorship – with the help of the “Proud Boys,” the “3% ers,” the “Oathkeepers,” and the MOB of “ginned up” IDIOTS who came to Washington DC with the idea of stopping the official certification of the Electoral College votes in the House/Senate. These people stormed the Capitol with the INTENTION of overturning our “free and fair election.” They came close to getting their hands on Mike Pense and they had a GALLOWS waiting for him with a noose hanging on it. When I first saw that GALLOWS I thought: “Well, this is a group of white supremacists and that’s their “means” to solve their problems dating back generations.

Just think what might have happened had they managed to “corral” VP Pense. For example, would Congress have been able to actually fulfill the certification of the Electoral College votes had Pense been hanging from that noose? I honestly have no idea what would have happened had Pense been murdered. Would individual 1 have been able to “appoint” a new VP? Remember, at that time, republicans were in control of the Senate. We’re seeing in real time the COWARDICE of the republican party and virtually no one expects them to “do the right thing” and CONVICT individual 1 so that he can NEVER hold another office in the USA. Let him move to Russia or wherever he decides to take his “deplorable” self.

Speaking of Mike Pense, I had an acquaintance who was challenging, on this blog, the legitimacy of Joe Biden’s WIN in the 2020 election. Very systematically I laid out the process of how Joe Biden’s victory would play out. From the election to the Electoral College and then to the January 6th, 2021 when the final certification would take place. Of course, I had no idea at the time that individual 1 would gather a mob and INCITE them to attack the Capitol with the idea of stopping the certification process after LOSING over and over in the courts, but I did predict he would be very unhappy with Pense if the Vice President actually willingly fulfilled his constitutional obligation – which is simply to read and accept the results from one state after another on January 6th, 2021. Obviously, I didn’t anticipate individual 1 would be pushing his supporters to “hang Mike Pense.”

I wasn’t able to watch all of the first day of the actual IMPEACHMENT “trial” where the House managers were doing an incredible job of laying out, step by step, the INSURRECTION and how individual 1 was almost orchestrating it while it was happening. In fact, he started “orchestrating” it shortly after the Electoral College voted. His motive was clear and his MOB came close to “delivering.” In today’s proceeding there was video of how close Mitt Romney and Chuck Schumer came to falling into individual 1’s INSURRECTIONISTS’ “hands.” The more I watch the “evidence” put forth by the House managers the more I realize the republicans who are dead set on voting to enable individual 1 to be are as un-American as I can imagine people in our Congress, in my idealistic mind, could be.

The IMPEACHMENT managers from the House have delivered an incontrovertible case connecting individual 1 to the INSURRECTION, to the point where it seems probably the lawyers representing our TWICE IMPEACHED so-called two time popular vote LOSING president are going to resort to irrelevancies – like the claim the “trial” is “unconstitutional” which has been shown to be an absurd argument by HUNDREDS of Constitutional EXPERTS. Yet, there are a LARGE group of republican Senators who, I believe, are looking for any reason they can use to justify to the MOBS “back home” for voting to “acquit.” Here’s the thought I’ve had thinking of the reality individual 1 is likely to “get away” with INCITING this INSURRECTION:

Would it have been necessary for the INSURRECTIONISTS to have actually got their “hands” on Mr. Pense? If he had ended up hanging on that gallows would that have been enough for the republicans in the Senate to vote for a conviction? What if one of them had ended up in the hands of the invaders of the Capitol and had been murdered – instead of the Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick or the two who killed themselves after going through this traumatic experience? Chuck Schumer was nearly caught as was Mitt Romney. I’m guessing either one of them being murdered would have been little different to the Senate republicans than the MURDER of Mr. Sicknick. It really is a sad state of affairs.

Final Thought: I would love to be wrong about the republicans in the Senate – but, I’m not at all optimistic. Most “pundits” are simply anxious to find out how many of them will actually vote their “conscience” – of course, I have to wonder if any of them who can’t understand individual 1’s actions following Joe Bidens VICTORY on November 3rd, 2020 culminating in the ASSAULT on our nation’s CAPITOL BUILDING – where EVERY one of these Senators were in the building – they KNOW exactly what happened and they KNOW who instigated the INSURRECTION – it’s NOT a matter of dispute. Will it be five republicans? Six? A couple more? They ALL will be placing themselves on one side or the other in our history books!

Individual 1 does NOT deserve the benefits that go with being a “former president” – even if you’re a TWICE IMPEACHED so-called two time popular vote LOSING president. My personal belief is that individual 1 SHOULD face LEGAL accountability for his actions of January 6th, 2021. I will be forever upset if Joe Biden follows the lead of Barack Obama by heading off the investigations which SHOULD follow individual 1’s action regardless of how this IMPEACHMENT turns out. There can be NO “looking forward instead of back.” The ILLEGAL behavior of an (republican) American president MUST be put to rest – by accountability for individual 1.

The “trial” of individual 1 is now set. It will start on February 8, 2021 and the delay of a couple of weeks will simply allow the MOUNTAIN of evidence which SHOULD lead to a conviction of our TWICE IMPEACHED so-called two time popular vote LOSING (former) president. The reality republicans reflexively vote against ANYTHING which has been proposed by democrats hasn’t changed, wont change, and likely, will allow individual 1 “off the hook” once again. Of course, as I and MILLIONS of others have said, if inciting the attempt of an overthrow of our nation’s government by the nation’s “chief executive” is not “impeachable,” well, they should remove the IMPEACHMENT section from the constitution.

There is NO doubt if, had a democrat done what individual 1 has done – and the evidence is MOUNTING – republicans would be unanimously voting to IMPEACH him or her. Now, who knows? They are even REFLEXIVELY lining up to oppose Joe Biden’s initial proposal for a bill to ATTACK the coronavirus pandemic and the teetering economy which puts ALL Americans in a precarious position. Individual 1 has left a MESS of historic proportions and republicans are going to soon have to make a decision about their loyalty – do they support their nation or the party of individual 1? Are they going to not only refuse to convict our former (TWICE IMPEACHED so-called two time popular vote LOSING) president but also attempt to block the attempt by our democratic president to ATTACK this pandemic? Why am I not surprised?

President Biden very likely will soon be facing a monumental decision, based on what I’ve learned about him and his true desire to get republicans to work in a bipartisan manner, should Moscow Mitch and his caucus instigate his filibustering OBSTRUCTION self. Very likely, the republican Senators will continue to live in fear of individual 1 and his right wing white nationalist base. These republicans, as I just said above, have a serious decision to make – just as President Biden. If the republicans OBSTRUCT I believe democrats MUST get rid of the filibuster allowing their agenda to actually gain a favorable vote from Congress.

For heaven’s sake, the THREAT against our government is not over! It still appears there are members of Congress who were “aiding and abetting” the INSURRECTIONISTS. One member of the republican party attempted to bring a GUN into the House Chamber today – of course, it was one of the members who voted to overthrow the “will of the people” in BOTH Arizona and Pennsylvania – and then when Conor Lamb of Pittsburgh called them out for their supporting what is FINALLY called the “Big Lie” this “dude” threatened to “fight” Mr. Lamb. There are a BUNCH of right wing nut jobs in the republican caucus and the threat against our constitution remains real. It’s NOT over and it’s up to the democrats to purge the worst of these republicans out of their offices and, I have to add, I’m NOT too confident this will happen – but, at the same time, I’m hopeful, because I believe, ultimately, being “right” should count for something!

I’ve read on several occasions now how the worst of the right wing white nationalists are very unhappy with individual 1. He’s been referred to as “weak” by members of the “Proud Boys” and there are others who feel abandoned (of course, he DIDN’T go to the Capitol with them as he promised). The numbers facing serious CRIMINAL charges continues to expand with the likelihood the number CHARGED with CRIMES as serious as SEDITION will continue to expand as the FBI studies all the video of the INSURRECTION and identify the offenders. Simply being inside that building makes ALL of them subject to the OFFENSE individual 1 got put into law which calls for a 10 year prison term – this OFFENSE was put into effect by individual 1 after he had sent his unidentified Federal troops to Portland, Oregon designed for people who were “tagging” Federal property. Trashing the nation’s Capitol Building goes way beyond “tagging” the Federal Office building in Portland – in my view.

I wrote all that about two weeks ago, and I’m going to tidy it up tonight as the IMPEACHMENT “trial” begins tomorrow – with republicans making a four hour argument the “trial” is “unconstitutional” – despite one constitutional expert after another saying, well, phooey! These republicans continue to give COWARDICE a “bad name.” There isn’t a word coming to mind which comes close to characterizing their COWARDICE! Here’s the deal, at some point republicans are going to have to come to a recognition they’re NOT going to be able to succeed from the union. I believe if they do as we all think they will and COWARDLY fail to convict individual 1 of INCITING the INSURRECTION of January 6th, 2021 they’re going to have to deal with him LORDING over them for another four years – with Marjorie Taylor Greene going around the country as his “poster girl.” What can go wrong with that?

As I’ve said, the democrats continue attempting to help the republicans out. During the pandemic Nancy Pelosi lobbied for the “Heroes Act” which, very likely, would have led to individual 1 WINNING in November because the Act was designed to “crush the virus.” Not to be outdone in their STUPIDITY, Moscow Mitch AND individual 1 called the legislation “dead on arrival” as they allowed the coronavirus to continue getting MORE and MORE ouf of control. I’m not the only person who believes individual 1’s utter FAILURE to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic was the reason a record number of Americans turned out to VOTE him OUT of office. So, to republicans, definitely, DON’T listen to democrats.

By not listening this time (remember, just over a year ago, democrats gave them the opportunity to get rid of individual 1 and, likely, Mike Pense would be president today) republicans will be spending the next four years nervously watching to see what individual 1’s next devious steps will be. Will he, and his “deplorable” family members, continue to keep their hold on the republican party or will he do as he’s threatening and start a third party – ironically with the anticipated name of the patriot party. Yikes!! What “patriots” are determined to turn America into a fascist dictatorship? To me, none of them are patriots!

I’ll say it one more time, if INCITING an INSURRECTION of the Capitol with the purpose of overthrowing our election and with 5 DEATHS isn’t IMPEACHABLE, then what is?

Oh yes, I have to add: Another really STUPID thing we’re about to see from republicans is their unwillingness to vote for Joe Biden’s Covid Relief plan. What is wrong with these people? Are they really so out of touch they have no idea what it’s been like to live in America this past year while individual 1 was ignoring the pandemic? (OK, that was rhetorical) Actually, it appears, Joe Biden is in the process of demonstrating what a little national strategy can do to bring down the number of infections in America – in a pretty short time span. Stay tuned………………… (We’re going to see, apparently, much more STUPID before “we the people” have the opportunity to vote a BUNCH more of these “deplorables” out of office.

I wrote for the four years of individual 1’s “administration” about his INCOMPETENCE as a leader of this nation and our government, but the part where he was competent was in his increasingly fascist attempt at a takeover of our actual republic. And, sadly, he came really close because the “Russian active measures” he’s inflicted on his “uneducated voters” has BRAINWASHED so many Americans so the threat of a fascist insurrection remains, despite his OVERWHELMING defeat (OK, I’m talking about the POPULAR vote) at the hands of the voters on November 3rd, 2020. Individual 1’s LYING didn’t abide once he had been defeated at the polls, it metastasized. And, obviously, his “uneducated voters” ended up storming the Capitol Building on January 6th, 2021.

I’ve been saying for longer than the four years of individual 1 there is a WAR for the heart and soul of America between the, what I’ve referred to as, “present day republican party,” and those of us who call ourselves “progressives” or, for shame, “liberals” or, for that matter, actual patriots – like the republicans who formed the “Lincoln Project.” Of course, America’s history has been built on the backs of those who are in that (progressive, liberal) “class.” Of course, African Americans helped BUILD the infrastructure of America – I’m talking about things like the “White House,” etc. My connection with history has its focus on the 1930’s and FDR and the New Deal where many of the privileges “we the people” take for granted were implemented into American policy via legislation and is now under right wing assault. And, white people like me have been able to ignore the history our “Black, Brown, and Indigenous” for, well, forever. The LYNCHING of George Floyd seems to have been “enough already” for a wide range of Americans, especially those of the younger set.

When thinking of the “New Deal,” I live in Washington State and we have cheap and clean power via the Dams of which many were built during the “New Deal” (Dams which decimated the Salmon runs the Pacific Northwest Natives depended on – Electricity was also introduced to many parts of the nation via the Tennessee Valley Authority. Union rights were won, the 40 hour work week, the intro of child labor laws, and on and on. I grew up at a time when people didn’t take these things for granted – members of unions fought to maintain what had been won by their fathers and mothers in the 30’s. Dwight Eisenhower was the first president I remember and he instigated the federal highway project with Federal highways being built from one end of this nation to the other. I still remember my parents driving my two sisters and my brother and me (when I was 8 in 1955) back to visit our relatives in Ohio from our home in Washington State on the highways built under Eisenhower’s guidance.

Getting a college degree was cheap with veterans benefitting from the GI Bill and politicians talked to one another “across the isle.” I felt that was the case until the 1980’s when “we the people” were introduced to Newt Gingrich who determined the way republicans could gain power was through OBSTRUCTION as opposed to “winning” the battle of ideas. Ronald Reagan was the beginning of the end for the “Middle Class” and along with Gingrich we saw the beginning of what happened on January 6th, 2021. If you weren’t there Reagan was the first “leader” I can remember fighting to control our government and then claiming the “government is the problem.” I’ve always wondered, if government is such a problem, why do republicans go to such extreme means in order to control it?

We’ve now evolved to having one party which believes power at any cost is the goal – POWER! Republicans have been funneling taxpayer DOLLARS out of our government to the wealthiest “among us” since the days of Reagan and they can’t get enough. I challenge anyone to dispute that FACT. The issue of income inequality began during the days of Reagan – it’s all in the data. And, of course, despite the inequities of the democrats, the issue of RACISM has been a focal point of the republican party since the days of Richard Nixon – from my observation. For heaven’s sake, Ronald Reagan was almost as efficient with the “dog whistles” as individual 1 – he started his campaign in Philadelphia, Mississippi claiming the importance of “state’s rights” to let the white nationalists of the time (never fully exposed) know exactly where he was coming from.

George HW Bush was famous for his “Willie Horton ad” which was another dog whistle – back in the days when republicans were famous for their political ads focused on the so-called “welfare queens.” Democrats weren’t as bad, in my view, but the reality is the issue with income inequality and racial inequality has evolved to where, today, if you’re a “Black or Brown or Native” American you are more likely to get Covid-19, more likely to have no or inferior health care options, and more likely to be on the front lines as an “essential worker” being paid a minimum wage which leaves you permanently in the economic underclass. Plus, your children are more likely to be in inferior public schools making it more difficult to lift themselves up “by their bootstraps.”

And, despite all this, there are, obviously, MILLIONS of Americans who are white and feel they are the so-called “victims.” When they claim, like in the case of individual 1’s propaganda, “we need to take our country back” what do you think they’re talking about. That’s not a “dog whistle,” it’s a “Bull horn.” Of course, individual 1 was never accused of being subtle, although, his language is the language of a mob boss – just as Michael Cohen explained in his testimony to Congress – where we saw the individual 1 sycophants like Jim Jordan and Devin Nunez SHAMING themselves. The “medal of freedom” given to Jordan and Nunez by individual 1 was, not surprising, but SHAMEFUL. Both Jordan and Nunez were among the TRAITORS on 1/6/21.

What I’m saying is the tilting toward the right of the republican party began in earnest with Reagan and the end result was individual 1. Today, on MSNBC Nicole Wallace interviewed Bob Corker, former Senator from Tennessee who famously claimed individual 1’s administration was like “an adult daycare center.” While, I’ve been encouraged listening to many republicans since it became apparent individual 1 was “trying to be like Vladimir,” Corker isn’t one of them. He was one of the members of Congress who “cashed in” on the 2017 tax scam as he was planning to leave the Senate and listening to him today reminded me he’s a delusional right wing republican. Yep, he’s much better than the creeps who attacked the Capitol Building, but he was a key part of the republican party which laid the “groundwork” for individual 1. He didn’t sound at all remorseful. His brain seemed to be inflicted with “bothsidesism.” (Apparently, I made up that word)

Individual 1 appeals to the republicans in Congress because of what people like me find so “deplorable.” His PATHOLOGICAL LYING fits perfectly into the “strategy” of the “present day republican party” as they’ve been playing on the “dark side” of all those white Americans who feel the reason they’re “losing ground” financially is because of Black people and immigrants. Individual 1 was adept at grinding away on those grievances until thousands of his FOOLS er supporters attempted to overturn our elected government. Right now, our Congress is FULL of a bunch of what I consider TRAITORS because they were willing to stand up and vote to overturn a “free and fair” election because they don’t like the result. So far, over 200 of individual 1’s INSURRECTIONISTS have been arrested, facing serious charges, and, of course, he’s claiming he had NOTHING to do with their TRAITOROUS behavior. (Why would anyone expect anything different – he said he’d be there at the Capitol with them)

For years republicans have been working to suppress as many votes of “Brown and Black” Americans as they can – right out in the open. Additionally, they’ve been working in the weeds to gerrymander one Congressional District after another (including the one I live in – although, I’m in a “blue” state) as they work to embed “minority rule” into our political process. When you take a close look at the election statistics over the past 10+ years what you see is a consistent year after year, election after election, democrats getting MORE votes than republicans and ending up in minority positions. They’ve WON the “popular vote” in 7 of the past 8 presidential elections and have had years where they gained as many as 10 MILLION more votes nationally in Congressional elections while still ending up in the minority.

So, now, with the DEFEAT of individual 1 in 2020 and Democrats winning Georgia both in the presidential election and BOTH Senate seats you’re already seeing republicans’ voter suppression tactics gearing up to “high speed.” Some of the republican officials are not even subtle about this – claiming “we have to do this so we can ‘win’ again.” People are already talking about how gerrymandering after the 2020 Census could make Democratic control of the House of Representatives problematic – which, I believe means republicans believe they can CHEAT in order to regain POWER. For heaven’s sake, they now have Margery Taylor Greene running around the country attempting to bring in more (racist) voters. I say, “what else is new?” The question would be, “are ‘we the people’ going to stay home in 2020 or are we going to continue to flood the polls to keep democrats in Control of both Houses of Congress. I read recently where 28 of the 29 most contested House seats in this past election were won by republicans. We’ll see how Ms. Greene’s campaigning helps them retain those seats!

Just the FACT all of this is possible tells me more than I want to know about the American people. I was a teacher and, when I’ve listened to some of those who supported individual 1 (of course, they were older than my oldest students) the words coming from their mouths has been embarrassing. How can people be adults in this country and be so, well, STUPID? So, here’s a possible answer. Spend a little time listening to Sean Hannity or Tucker Carlson or some of the others on Fox “news,” That, in itself, is eye opening. If you’re a person who actually reads and finds FACTUAL information, it’s hard to listen to these people for, well, even one minute. But, sadly, there’s more.

I happened upon a new BRAINWASHING network, “Newsmax” recently and my first thought was this is worst than Fox. It was as if whoever the woman was on the “air,” her purpose was “fanning the flames” which led to the INSURRECTION of January 6th, 2021. I’ve never listened to or watched “One America Network,” but, from what I’ve heard it will make you as ill informed as the two aforementioned networks. Then there’s Breitbart.com which, originally billed itself as the home of the “Alt Right.” By now, most Americans know what that means. And, Steve Bannon has been pardoned by individual 1 after he was INDICTED for scamming individual 1’s supporters in regard to his ridiculously STUPID wall. Apparently, morality is an issue for both of them. And, getting back to individual 1:

The reports will continue to come out as his incompetence as a “leader” clarify and his complicity in the INSURRECTION – above and beyond INCITING it on January 6th, 2021 – and NONE of it looks (will look) good. Today, for example, the reports which came out about his FAILURES in the Covid-19 pandemic and what he did to the CDC which will continue to shine a light on his complicity in the Deaths of over 400,000 Americans on his “watch.” Of course, the reports SHOW “he wasn’t watching.” We have 4% of the World’s population and 25% of the World’s DEATHS. When Joe Biden took over, to make matters worse, his “team” discovered the inventory of vaccine supplies was, well, non existent.1

So far, Biden is popular (including with me) and he’s forging ahead with a plan to “crush the virus” AND help “we the people” with, OF COURSE, no republican support. As I’ve been saying over and over for the past 10+ years, republicans are good at winning elections, what they’re really BAD at is governing. George W Bush came across as someone who couldn’t put a complete sentence together and he was clearly manipulated by Dick Cheney, but he looks really good to me COMPARED to individual 1. (Although, I believe both GW Bush and Dick Cheney along with Don Rumsfeld SHOULD have faced investigations of WAR CRIMES for authorizing TORTURE.

Speaking of GW Bush/Cheney I’m reminded of the INSURRECTION of the Capitol Building on January 6th, 2021. If you remember the TORTURING which took place during the Bush/Cheney regime there was an embarrassing reporting of what when on at the Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq during the fiasco caused by the LYING of both GW Bush and his VP Cheney. I read at least two books on the Abu Ghraib TORTURING of (mostly) innocent Iraq’s and there’s no doubt the orders came from the top – at a minimum Don Rumsfeld – but, who “paid the price?” Of course, it was a bunch of low level soldiers who thought they were following orders. Of course, they knew what they were doing and witnessing (this included private contractors leaving Iraqi’s hanging from the walls of the interrogation rooms after they left – DEAD) was wrong – but, save for one female General NOT one upper echelon member of the Bush/Cheney regime even faced and investigation into their complicity!

For God’s sake – both GW Bush and Dick Cheney admitted, after they left office, they authorized WATERBOARDING (a violation of the Geneva Conventions) – and worse – and they faced NO consequences. These were ALL WAR CRIMES. Well, now, we’ve got over 200 of individual 1’s “flunkies” having been arrested for the INSURRECTION and republicans are lining up in both the House and Senate to back individual 1 going forward. Senate republicans have already indicated they won’t even consider CONVICTING individual 1 for INCITING the INSURRECTION – which makes me wonder if there’s ANYTHING individual 1 could do which would rise to the level of IMPEACHMENT. Had Mike Pense actually been HANGED, would that have motivated Senators? Had one of their own been KILLED instead of Brian Sicknick would that have motivate them? It appears not!

Several of those who’ve been arrested want to be witnesses in the upcoming trial of individual 1 because they say they participated in the INSURRECTION because that’s what they believed their TWICE IMPEACHED so-called two time popular vote LOSING president wanted them to do. He actually sat back, popped some popcorn (or ordered some cheeseburgers), and seemed to enjoy the INSURRECTION because he felt “these people like me.” OMG!! While it’s taken me a while to resort to words like STUPID in reference to individual 1’s “base” as I watched people “live streaming” themselves committing sedition, wearing their letter sweater with their name on it or other clearly identifying clothing, for failing to realize EVERYTHING they were doing was on camera, all I can say is “I rest my case.” They actually believed individual 1 would “be there at the Capitol” with them. He’s LIED to them for FOUR long years, so if they haven’t figured it out by now, well, ………………………. (Stupid)

I’ve heard there are over 600 people now under investigation for the INSURRECTION. As I’ve said, individual 1 got a law (?) passed – probably an executive order – calling for a minimum sentence of 10 years for anyone who illegally enters or damages a Federal building – so, technically EVERY one of the INSURRECTIONISTS would be facing a minimum of 10 years in jail. Most of those ARRESTED, so far, are facing MULTIPLE felony accounts – with many facing CONSPIRACY charges (those are REALLY serious) and/or SEDITION which is among the MOST serious of all crimes against our constitution. I believe if individual 1 is acquitted by the Senate he will be charged criminally later.

Final Thought: While I’ve been writing about my opinion MANY of individual 1’s supporters are STUPID I have to add, I’m not giving the republican Senators a pass on this characterization either. As we’ve ALREADY seen from Marjory Taylor Greene she’s going to be a “thorn” in the side of any rational republican going forward as a spokesperson for individual 1’s most outrageous supporters. By acquitting him, republicans are inviting him to be LORDING over them for the next four years. Do you really think he’ll refuse the opportunity to be the “head of the republican party?” Do you think he’ll make it easier for the party to re-imagine itself with him LORDING over it – threatening to run again in 2024 – which would be even MORE disastrous for their party. What they’re doing is giving the progressives in America reason to be focused on a massive run on the polls again in 2022 – not only increasing their majority in the House, but picking up seats in the Senate. I have to say it, these Senate republicans, by and large, appear to be, well, ………………… STUPID!

It’s now been three plus weeks since individual 1 INCITED a bunch of idiots to commit INSURRECTION against their own country. Some of these people were carrying weapons capable of doing what they were chanting, which was to “put a bullet in Pelosi’s head.” Additionally, they created a gallows with a noose hanging from it and the crowd was chanting “hang Mike Pense” over and over as they breached the Capitol Building. The people who were attacking our government PLUS those who INSTIGATED them, were all TRAITORS. In my mind, the members of Congress who supported the TRAITORS and, after the TRAITORS were pushed out of the building (after about four hours of doing CONSIDERABLE damage) stood before their fellow members of Congress who had just been threatened by the MOB – and voted to overturn the election of Joe Biden – and, they continue to push the LIE the election was “stolen” – without a thread of evidence – but, to republicans that’s a moot point – these people are also TRAITORS!

Here’s the problem, they’re entrenched in Congress and they come from, apparently, such gerrymandered districts the only way to get them out of Congress is for them to face charges of Sedition, for the worst ones who clearly “aided and abetted” the INSURRECTIONISTS. America’s so-called “liberal media” continues to struggle “telling it like it is.” You know, the “both sides” problem virtually all of the “cable news” outlets practice. Even MSNBC struggles to actually tell things like this directly. For example, the evidence of the INSURRECTION being the result of extended PLANNING is mounting fast – with the people I’ve already written about sitting on the “hot seat.” Individual 1 SHOULD soon be interviewed by the FBI as SHOULD his eldest two sons, Mo Brooks, Rudy Giuliani, etc. Then there are all the “leaders” who were willing to perpetuate the (now called) “Big Lie” about the “stolen election.”

In many media outlets the LYING of the republican party has become so commonplace that it’s not challenged as it SHOULD! The result of the LYING is what “we the people” are facing right now – the result of four years of TOTAL incompetence from individual 1 along with purposeful efforts to undermine our democratic republic. Not only was our TWICE IMPEACHED two time popular vote LOSING president INCITING INSURRECTIONISTS in order to remain in power, as time goes by we’re all getting a better sense of the DAMAGE I’ve been writing about for the past four years.

Individual 1 left behind a MESS rational people can only be thankful he’s finally out of office. It’s been two weeks and the “numbers” regarding the pandemic are slowly looking like maybe more people are actually wearing masks and following CDC guidelines. Surprise, surprise, what might start happening with an actual LEADER in the White House. That being said, we’re still looking at over 500,000 DEAD by the end of February. If you remember, it was in early March of 2020 when individual 1 was promising “this will all just go away” during the now infamous “missing 70 days.” It remains to be seen how determined Joe Biden is to follow through on his agenda and how united democrats will be. Of course, they don’t have the best record in that regard – they represent a much more diverse section of America.

I’ve always considered the major fault of democrats to be their lack of spines, but today’s republicans are making that issue a moot point. Honestly, I can’t even imagine how far “over the edge” the republican party has gone under individual 1. Of course, as I’ve said many times, I don’t see him as the architect of this right wing RACIST party – republicans willingly adopted the “tea party” back in 2010 as their “number one priority” was that President Obama would FAIL. If you watched the “tea party” rallies it would be hard for you to convince me you don’t understand it was founded on RACISM. I was grossly offended by the signs those at the rallies carried depicting Obama in such disgusting manners and, of course, the republican party willingly took them in – only to be overrun by them soon thereafter.

My hope is the 147 members of Congress who stood with the INSURRECTIONISTS find their “reward” to arrive sooner than their (god awful) place in the history books. As I said, many are gerrymandered into office in unbelievable ways – suggesting there’s more STUPID people in America than I ever could have imagined. Louie Gohmert? Matt Gaetz? Marjorie Taylor Greene? Devin Nunez? Jim Jordan? John Kennedy (no, not that one, he was assassinated when I was in High School), Josh Hawley, Ted Cruz, Ron Johnson, Mo Brooks, Paul Gosar, and on and on for 147 names. Recently, I published ALL of them – in the archives. Most of these members WON’T get voted out of office because republicans have been BRAINWASHED to actually BELIEVE the election was stolen from individual 1. Why?

Well, outlets like Fox “news,” “Newsmax,” “One America Network,” “Breitbart.com,” “Stormfront.com,” etc. etc. have been PUSHING the “Big Lie” for, well since BEFORE the election. Pollsters AND individual 1’s insiders KNEW exactly what to expect on election day – our TWICE IMPEACHED so-called two time popular vote LOSING president would take the “early lead” because he was encouraging his supporters NOT to vote by mail (as he was doing everything he could to undermine the Postal Service) but to vote in election day. At the same time, democrats were encouraging people to vote by mail to avoid being exposed unnecessarily by the pandemic. Their plan (individual 1’s) came about just as they planned as he was ahead early.

I even have an acquaintance who texted me BRAGGING individual 1 was going to “win” again as he was leading in Pennsylvania by over 600,000 votes. I texted back, “don’t get ahead of your ski’s.” I had been researching what I could find about the “mail in” votes in Pennsylvania and the data said, of the mail in votes over 1.2 MILLION votes came from democrats while less than a quarter MILLION were from republicans and another 200,000 were from “non-affiliated.” Of course, by the next morning Biden was clearly on his way to winning Pennsylvania by almost 100,000 votes. Individual 1 had already started the so-called “Big Lie.” This LIE is continuing to this day (and, it’s now February). Republicans have become TOTALLY disenfranchised from the TRUTH and, even the ones who have a brain capable of thinking, brush off the LYING.

I’m a Christian, I went to church every Sunday (like Biden, a Catholic) until the pandemic and I watch our sermon every Sunday morning and try to live my life as I believe Jesus teaches (not completely sure how he’s looking at my blog posts – I’m following my “little voice”) me and, therefore, I know many people who are individual 1 supporters. I believe STRONGLY in the “separation of church and state” so I just continue to go to church and avoid the arguments with the right wing members in the congregation. However, occasionally, it happens and each time I ask, “Do you believe individual 1 LIES to you?” In EVERY instance the response is either “no,” or “everyone lies.” So, it’s either delusion or obfuscation – not all that “Christian” in my view.

Apparently, individual 1 continues to have a “hold” over the republican party. When I talk about republican COWARDICE, well, let’s take a good look at Kevin McCarthy. He was one of the members of Congress who had to flee to safety from the INSURRECTIONISTS and, for a moment, actually placed some blame at the feet of our TWICE IMPEACHED so-called two time popular vote LOSING president. How long did that last? Well, I don’t have a watch anymore so all I can say is SOON thereafter where was McCarthy? Yep, you either already knew or guessed it – he was, as many have said, in Mar a Lago “kissing the ………..” (fill in the blank) of individual 1. (I’m too lazy to write our TWICE IMPEACHED two time popular vote LOSING president – oops! )

That gives the perfect picture of how COWARDLY today’s republicans have become. McCarthy clearly has visions of being the Speaker of the House in 2020 – and, I have to add, if democrats allow republicans to take over the House in the mid-term I’ll write at that point in time, they haven’t learned a thing about the importance of VOTING. I’m an independent who VOTES in every election – and, since Bush/Cheney LIED America into the Iraq fiasco – to me a “deja vu all over again” reminder of Viet Nam – I’ve voted AGAINST republicans or occasionally FOR democrats.

Since individual 1 took office I’ve been giving money to those who have supported his demise – including many of the young progressive democrats who are now in the Congress – like AOC, Katie Porter, Jon Ossoff, Raphael Warnock, and a bunch more who I can’t remember their names right now. (OK, as I’ve said, I’m getting “up there”) I’ve also donated regularly to “Vote Vets,” and starting in mid 2020 I’ve regularly sent money (in small amounts) to the Lincoln Project. At this point, I have to add, in 2022 I’m planning to vote for my republican representative in the House, Jaimie Herrera Beutler, who courageously stood on the House floor and explained why she voted to IMPEACH individual 1. I’ve written many letters to her presenting my disagreement with MOST of her votes, but I have to give credit where credit is due – and, she’s earned my vote in the next election. Normally a “safe seat,” but you can count the MAGA crowd will be out to “get her” – possibly turning that seat “blue.” That said, I’m committed to voting for her and I got tears in my eyes listening to her explain her vote.

Here’s the bottom line where I’ll try to end this rant. To me, when republicans of today are speaking they are either “projecting” or just out and out LYING. Of course, the “Mother of all examples of projection” would be individual 1’s and his sycophant’s claims of voter FRAUD. Well, who is committing the voter FRAUD? Of course, you KNOW the answer, even if you’re a republican. (In that case, you just wouldn’t admit it in public) The number one OFFENDER, of course, would be individual 1, himself. He SHOULD be facing both state and federal CRIMINAL charges for his behavior regarding his claims of “election FRAUD.” He made phone calls to at least THREE republicans in Georgia attempting to put the “squeeze” on them to find a way to overturn the “will of the people.” His call (one hour long) with Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger was classic “MOB BOSS” tactics, totally rebuffed by Mr. Raffensperger.

Naturally, there were republicans who complained that Raffensperger recorded the call. Why wouldn’t he knowing individual 1 would LIE about it afterward? One of his deputies who was on the call released it to the Washington Post soon after the LYING commenced. Our TWICE IMPEACHED so-called two time popular vote LOSING president ALSO attempted to pressure Georgia’s Attorney General (another republican) and the republican governor Brian Kemp to find a way to overturn Biden’s WIN in Georgia. What individual 1 ended up doing was helping Georgian’s elect two democratic Senators to switch “control” of the Senate to the democrats – where it belongs. I have to add, democrats were so focused on beating individual 1 that they failed to win some contested Senate seats which were vulnerable. I believe all the “defund the police” cost them two or three more Senate Seats, but, whatever………………

So, the “leader of the republican party,” individual 1 is very possibly looking at indictments for voter FRAUD among other crimes I’m not smart enough to define – I just KNOW all those phone calls were terribly ILLEGAL and, who knows, maybe Biden’s Attorney General – or the Georgia authorities – will actually enforce the law “without fear or favor.” But, that’s not where it ends for our TWICE IMPEACHED so-called two time popular vote LOSING president (I can’t wait until I no longer have to write all that). Take for example, why do I call him “individual 1?” Maybe you should ask his former lawyer Michael Cohen. Think $130,000 of ILLEGAL “hush money” and the Porn Star he, well, you know…. while his wife was delivering his final (I hope) son. Of course, there were two women – the other a “Playboy model” but, who’s counting? Cohen got three years – with some additional charges for tax evasion. Do you see where this is going? Tax evasion, hush money? Oh yes, Southern District of New York? Who knows, maybe they will consider the laws without “fear of favor?”

By now, virtually everyone who’s been paying attention knows the Prosecuting Attorney in Manhattan is investigating the potential financial CRIMES of individual 1 along with New York State’s Attorney General. Do you see some depositions coming? Soon? And, that doesn’t even get into the (up to) TEN instances of OBSTRUCTION of Justice laid out so completely in volume two of the Mueller report – which William Barr so astutely “torpedoed” right after the report was finalized. Mueller, himself, wrote how fundamentally important prosecuting OBSTRUCTION was to the basic tenets of our system of laws. As many have said, if a president can OBSTRUCT a “special counsel” investigation into his own behavior then, well, why have the special counsel regulation? Mueller, as he accepted the OLC “memo” saying a president “can’t be indicted while in office,” pointed out they were “memorializing” the evidence in case a future prosecutor wanted to review it and investigate further. Maybe more lawyers for individual 1!

And, of course, I can’t leave this rant without mentioning January 6th, 2021. Clearly, that date was the culmination of a lot of LYING by our TWICE IMPEACHED so-called two time popular vote LOSING president to all his willfully IGNORANT followers over a period which was well before the election he LOST. It was a set up, right from the start by a mob boss who knew exactly what he was doing – willing to attempt to “win” at all costs. Of course, his plan was the “costs” would be born by all his “uneducated voters” he likes to brag about. I mean, even in the presidential debates, as he feigned ignorance of “militia groups” he asked the “Proud Boys” to “stand back and stand by.” Come on, how many of us are totally ignorant. The focus, and rightfully so, was his INCITEMENT on January 6th, 2021 of the MOB which breached the Capitol Building – the reason for IMPEACHMENT #2 – INCITING the INSURRECTION – but, this was planned well in advance and there SHOULD be many others besides individual 1 held accountable.

Let’s start with his two eldest sons, OK? They were BOTH doing their part to “gin up” the thousands of idiots carrying their individual 1 flags and CONFEDERATE flags and mixing those flags, somehow, with American flags – believing they were “patriots” – because they had succumbed to the “Big Lie.” So far, over 200 have been arrested and many are facing charges which will keep them in jail for 20+ years. Heck, just by being in the Capitol Building on that day they are subject to the law individual 1 got passed? which calls for a 10 year prison term. That law was the result of people “tagging” the Federal Building in Portland, Oregon. Well, apparently, turnabout is “fair play?”

Prosecutors will tell you, when determining someone’s guilt of innocence on a crime “intent” is really important. So, let’s just consider some of the KNOWN details of individual 1’s involvement in the INSURRECTION (AKA, sedition, or TREASON). He planned this attack over a period of weeks or months, he ginned up the crowd with language which CLEARLY incited the MOB, and he TOLD them all he would be there with them as they “took their country back.” He said, “you have to be strong or you’ll never get your country back.” He suggested they were depending on Mike Pense and once he was SAFELY back in the “White House,” (Yep, he didn’t show up at the Capitol Building as promised – surprise, surprise – my thought was his “bone spurs” were bothering him) he “tweeted,” “Mike Pense has let us down.” Do you think that may have led to the chants, “Hang Mike Pense?” Just sayin……………….

OK, but as usual, with individual 1 it gets worse. Instead of intervening EVERY report I’ve read or listened to have said, he sat back, watched the INSURRECTION unfold on TV and enjoyed it because these were people supporting his cause. Yep, he sat there and watched it on TV. So, the Mayor of DC was frantically trying to bring in reinforcements via the National Guard and, apparently, couldn’t get approval from our TWICE IMPEACHED so-called two time popular vote LOSING president so, after a couple of hours Mike Pense gave the approval to bring in reinforcements. Members of Congress were “holed up” in various places around the Capitol for around SIX hours – before the INSURRECTIONISTS were cleared out. And, true to form when the authorities are dealing with white people (predominantly – although one of the original planners appears to be an African American – everyone was allowed to just go home.

Five people DIED in the insurrection and two more Capitol Police officers took their own lives in the days following. From what I’ve read well OVER 100 police officers were injured – some critically. One officer lost the sight of one eye, several have serious brain injuries, and, well, if you were watching you saw INSURRECTIONISTS beating officers with fire extinguishers – in fact, they beat Brian Sicknick to DEATH with a fire extinguisher – they beat them with their flag poles, they had baseball bats, and other clubs which they used. One guy who was arrested had a “sun ‘pole'” I guess you’d call it which was capable of over 900 volts. That’s LETHAL! This was planned, organized, well funded and individual 1, his two eldest sons, Jr.’s “girlfriend,” Mo Brooks, Rudy Giuliani, Josh Hawley, Ted Cruz and several others SHOULD be in the “crosshairs” of the Justice Department. I’ll end this by saying if INSURRECTION is not enough to get the attention of authorities, well, “we the people” really are in a lot of trouble.

Final Thought: As republicans are loathe to do, with Joe Biden calling for “unity” they simply want to “forgive and forget.” Or, should I say “get forgiven and forget?” They’re trying to use Biden’s words against him and, hopefully, he won’t fall for it. Here’s the first step republicans MUST follow if there’s to be “unity.” They’ve got to start by admitting they’ve been LYING, ask for FORGIVENESS, and then tell their constituents the TRUTH. You know, the road to unity begins with repentance. Here’s the definition of repentance taken from the Bible: The doctrine of repentance as taught in the Bible is a call to persons to make a radical turn from one way of life to another.  Do you see where I’m going? The mass LYING has got to stop. And, individual 1 MUST face legal accountability – which, ironically, could get a bit mitigated if he’s convicted of his SECOND IMPEACHMENT in the upcoming Senate trial – not likely with all the COWARDS in the Senate republican Caucus. Individual 1 LIED over 30,000 times while in office. And, trust me, he’s not at all likely to “repent.” The rest of them, who knows? This next year will continue to be historically interesting!

For MANY years my complaint about democrats was they were “spineless,” that they didn’t have the courage of their own convictions, but these present day republicans are making democrats look like WW II HERO Audie Murphy. The ONLY word which comes to mind anymore when I think of republicans is COWARD. Well, maybe COWARDICE is more appropriate. Right down the line, from Nikki Haley to Marco Rubio, with, of course, Josh Hawley, Ted Cruz, Kevin McCarthy, Jim Jordan, Matt Gaetz, Devin Nunez and Moscow Mitch in between. These people fall into the now infamous category of “deplorables.” Ultimately, they’ll ALL be in the history books in the same paragraph as individual 1 and next to Benedict Arnold!

Today, once again, OVER 4000 Americans DIED from Covid-19. According to Worldometer.info there have been over 435,000 Americans deceased during the pandemic and it will be OVER 500,000 by the end of February. Our economy is teetering on DEPRESSION, individual 1’s supporters are STILL threatening the Capital over the belief their fuhrer actually “won” something he LOST by OVER 7,000.000 votes – too many of them are simply incapable of rational thought – recently, I’ve been using the term STUPID – and, when you check out the INSURRECTION and those who breached the Capitol Building, well, “I rest my case.” One guy had his high school letterman’s jacket on with his NAME on it! Once again, STUPID! We’re talking about SEDITION which carries a prison sentence of 20 years.

These people who watch outlets like Fox “news” or “Newsmax” all day or frequent places like Breitbart.com or the even more radical right wing websites actually view themselves as “patriots” when, in reality, they are nothing more than pathetic CRIMINALS. And, of course, those taking advantage of them go far beyond individual 1. Take for example, the so-called “Proud Boys.” They like to INSTIGATE stuff like what happened on January 6th in D.C., but, by and large, they manage to stay out of the limelight. Their “subjects” are the ones who get arrested. These thugs are the ones I’ve talked about who dressed up like so-called “Antifa” during the BLM protests following the LYNCHING of George Floyd and instigated the destruction and violence which detracted from the protests. They are among the first to create division, because, well, they’re REPUBLICANS!

Republicans continue to show themselves to be, now, anti-democratic. I’ve been pointing out anyone who believes Moscow Mitch and his caucus is going to “work with the democrats” is fooling him/herself. (Of course, I REALLY hope I’m wrong – but, I watched for 8 years as President Obama attempted to initiate “bipartisan” legislation – resulting in over 700 McConnell FILIBUSTERS). These republicans have no moral compass and they feel no SHAME. However, the simple reality is MOST of them are SHAMEFUL. For example, on February 8 they will be part of the “jury” who will be deciding whether or not INCITING INSURRECTION by a sitting U.S. president is “Treason, bribery or a high crime and misdemeanor.” When the House managers provide the EVIDENCE of the INSURRECTION it will be clear to ANY fair minded, rational individual that individual 1 “INCITED” the mob which breached the Capitol Building – while these republican Senators were in session chanting “hang Mike Pense” among other intended atrocities – and, if they fail to find him guilty it will be setting the WORST precedent in American History – because, in essence, they will be telling a future president IMPEACHMENT is, well, I’m stuck for the right word. Basically, remove it from the constitution and tell future presidents do as you will.

Obviously, if you’ve been around this site you know I’m NO fan if individual 1. In fact, I’ve been pointing out the DAMAGE he’s been doing to our republic for four years is well beyond what we’ll know on the day he’s removed from office – however that would be. Of course, republicans had the opportunity to remove him a year ago and didn’t have the guts – so we got the OUTRAGEOUS non response to a once in a century PANDEMIC which continues to rage out of control and will take most of this year for Joe Biden’s administration to “crush the virus” if we’re lucky. America has BY FAR the worst response to the pandemic in the WORLD during individual 1’s tenure in which he was, basically, AWOL. He just didn’t want to “deal” with it. I still remember in the now infamous “missing 70 days” – when there was an opportunity to stop it in its tracks – where he didn’t want fifteen infected people to disembark from a Cruise ship because he thought the “numbers” would make him look bad. He BLUNDERED a response from the first case in this country to the day he left office (with “his tail between his legs”)

Individual 1 left a FAR WORSE “mess” for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris to deal with than George W Bush/Dick Cheney left for Obama/Biden. And, the mess Bush/Cheney left was, at the time, historically BAD. The potential for another “Great Depression” loomed large. Well, to me, the possibility of another “Great Depression” looms even larger today, on top of all the other issues. The only thing which has prevented that “outcome” at this point is the so-called “Cares Act” which provided people who lost their jobs $600 per week on top of their unemployment benefits. That ran out long ago and the federal response to the needs of those who’ve lost their jobs or their businesses during the last six months of individual 1’s time in office has been, well, disastrous, disgusting, and, on top of that – STUPID!

I pointed this out many times over the previous four years. Individual 1 nearly destroyed his “inheritance” (from his father) several times only to be BAILED out by “daddy” on several occasions. Apparently, the only thing which saved him was his ability to scam himself onto a television program (which, I never watched) where he gained a large following (apparently, of many of these STUPID people – who believe he’s a successful businessman). He went through SIX bankruptcies where he stiffed banks, workers, and contractors – over and over. So, now he’s destroyed the “inheritance” he received from Obama/Biden – which I predicted would happen – as he FINALLY left town. It was reported today the GDP for 2020 was MINUS 3.5% – the worst years since 1946. During his four years in office there was a net job LOSS for the first time, well, in my lifetime (I was born in 1947). So much for being a “successful businessman.” Yikes!

What’s worse is Nancy Pelosi actually provided individual 1 with the necessary “ammunition” to prevail in the election he’s been whining about for the past three months and, for which, he’s very possibly going to be facing a different “jury” than these COWARDLY republican Senators. Between him and Moscow Mitch they declared the “HEROES Act” “dead on arrival” in the Senate – a bill which would have reduced the spread of Covid-19, would have propped up the economy in numerous ways, and they were too STUPID to realize Ms. Pelosi and House democrats were more concerned with the health of our nation than who would win the election 7 months later. When I saw individual 1 being more concerned with undermining the Postal Service than uplifting the Americans negatively affected by the virus I realized he was LOSER for sure in November. My only surprise was that he didn’t lose by more – but the CULT of personality is powerful and has a lot of right wing white nationalist fervor.

So, what we’re looking at is a republican Senate which is likely to refuse to convict individual 1 in the upcoming “trial.” Last time it was “There’s an election coming, let the people decide.” Well, “we the people” decided in RECORD numbers and this time it appears their fractured logic will be “he’s already out of office, this is unconstitutional.” I only took one constitutional law class in College and it was a long time ago, but it’s clear to me that’s a specious argument – again, democrats are attempting to do these republicans a favor by removing the possibility of individual 1 ever running for office again – purging him from their party. And, they will look even worse if the Justice Department does its job and PROVES to “we the people” “no one is above the law.”

How many reasons can I come up with which demonstrates the total incompetence of individual 1 and the republican party. “Let me count the ways:” Well, FIRST has to be his IMCOMPETENT response to a once in a century pandemic (sadly, his response could easily lead to further issues of pandemics due to mutations of Covid-19). As of today, which is around one year since the first death in the U.S. from the coronavirus, according to Worldometer.info, the total DEATHS are 443,769. Yep, you read that correct. The only other leader in the WORLD who might have been as incompetent has been Boris Johnson in the UK – with a much lower population than the U.S. – Johnson, of course, somewhat an individual 1 sycophant – but, individual 1 cemented himself in the darkest of places in America’s history books by his unimaginable incompetence – as the leader of the country with the BEST ability to deal with a pandemic in the WORLD – which he managed to squander, just as he squandered the next item on the list.

As I stated above, individual 1 took an economy on a straight upward trajectory on a graph and did to it what he did to the HUNDREDS of MILLIONS of dollars he inherited from his father – not to mention the hundreds of MILLIONS of dollars he “stole” from his niece and nephew – a “theft” which will soon be resolved in court. In fact, individual 1 faces many trips to “court” in the coming year or two, but I digress. As I said, 2020 was the WORST year in American’s economic history going back to the year before I was born – 1946. A negative jobs total – for the total of his FOUR years – and, in 2020 a NEGATIVE 3.5% GDP! Apparently, individual 1 was trying to be like HERBERT HOOVER!

Well over 600 CHILDREN continue to be separated from their parents at ouf Southern border. It will take a MAMMOTH effort by the Biden administration to find the parents and re-unite them with their children. Most, if not all, of the parents have been deported to who knows where – and, keep in mind, they made the “trek” to the U.S. because they were fleeing violence and desperation in their home countries. This travesty will, ultimately, be one of the darkest “black marks” on our NATION due to individual 1’s lack of a moral compass. Actually, I believe we have no idea the total number of children who’ve been separated from their parents. To me, SHAMEFUL, is too kind of word to place on that policy. There are reports some of the people involved in this process may ultimately be facing CRIMINAL charges.

I’m simply doing this off the top of my head and my next thought is Vladimir Putin. Anyone who took the time to read Robert Mueller’s report (the real 1% in America, in my view) KNOW that Putin was instrumental in helping individual 1 “win” the 2016 election. (Yes, also James Comey) If you didn’t read Mueller’s report, well, the next best way you could “get” the issue with individual 1 and Putin was simply to watch our TWICE IMPEACHED two time popular vote LOSING president standing next to Putin in Helsinki and “throwing our intelligence community under the bus. I’ll never forget him saying, “President Putin said, ‘The Russians didn’t do it,’ and I don’t know why they would have.” Worst than that was all the attempts to undermine our traditional European allies while encouraging the right wing Fascist movements in their countries. This, by itself, would have been enough to get any other president impeached! (Of course, individual 1 managed two issues which DID get him IMPEACHED! Should have been 3)

How about the “Grand Old Party’s” willingness to LIE. Not only have they stood quietly by while individual 1 LIED over 30,000 times in his four (long) years in office. But, now, LYING has become the defacto norm in the republican party. Heck, 147 members of the republican party were willing to LIE about the 2020 election, even AFTER the Capitol had been stormed by a bunch of right wing individual 1 enthusiasts – who, apparently, actually believe Joe Biden “stole” the election. And, they’re (republicans) still LYING despite the FACT they’re encouraging the right wing (STUPID) thugs who, as I’ve said, view themselves as “patriots.” (When, in reality, they’re CRIMINALS – those who act out the so-called “Big Lie”) And, by the way, I’ve been pointing out for years republicans adopted the “Big Lie Theory” of the Nazi’s of the Third Reich (Hitler actually was the architect of the “strategy” – LIE over and over until the (STUPID) people actually believe you’re telling the truth). Now, at least, members of the media are referring to “The Big Lie” (that individual 1 “won”), but they still refuse to educate people where the “strategy” originated.

The last thing I’ll add to the list of the curious ways people can observe (or ignore) the incompetence of individual 1 AND the republican party would, of course, have to be January 6th, 2021 – the assault on our nation’s Capitol Building INSTIGATED by individual 1, individual 1 Jr., Josh Hawley, Ted Cruz, Mo Brooks, Rudy Giuliani, and, of course, the 147 members of Congress willing to throw out the “will of the people” by challenging the results of the vote in Arizona and Pennsylvania – results which had withstood over 50 court challenges – and multiple recounts. This was the most egregious act of political MALFESEANCE in my lifetime, in my view – and, as I’ve said here, I’ve been paying attention to politics since the days of Dwight Eisenhower – plus, which I’ve never said here my Bachelor’s degree was in Political Science. A large number of the INSTIGATORS of this breech of the Capitol MUST face legal consequences, including, but not limited to, individual 1, his namesake son, Giuliani, Brooks, Hawley, and Cruz. Instigating INSURRECTION should NEVER be acceptable. If these people go away without consequences Abraham Lincoln will be “turning in his grave.”

Final Thought: Republicans never fail in their quest to show themselves as beyond PATHETIC and, sure enough. today, Kevin McCarthy cemented that characterization of their “party” (er cult). Of course, this is the same Kevin McCarthy who condemned individual 1 for instigating the breach of the Capitol Building – the INSURRECTION – and, who said he would “talk” to Marjorie Taylor Greene, maybe the “wackiest” of their entire caucus – the QAnon believer of stuff which a rational person would simply shake their head. Today, he took a flight to Florida to meet with individual 1 for the purpose of a photo shoot to reassure the Proud Boys et al the next time they attack the Capital to focus on only democrats. McCarthy, in my view, may be even MORE pathetic than individual 1. These republicans have no SPINE, they have no SHAME, and all they care about is POWER by any means possible. The idea of presenting “ideas” which might draw public acceptance beyond playing the “white victims” doesn’t register with them. It really is PATHETIC and, well, DEPLORABLE!

I have to add, the history books which will be written after I’m gone will put individual 1 and people like McCarthy and the other republicans I’ve mentioned over the years – including William Barr, Mike Pompeo, Stephen Miller, and Rod Rosenstein (and others I can’t think of right now) – next to Benedict Arnold. Maybe they’ll always be remembered as the “basket of deplorables!”

Don’t kid yourselves. The “present day” republican party in America is not changing and, of course, Moscow Mitch aint changing. Just as individual 1 is all about individual 1 so is Moscow Mitch all about Moscow Mitch. Could – OK let me say SHOULD – McConnell have called an emergency session of the Senate and held the TRIAL of individual 1 between now and January 20, 2021? Of course he could. But, like it or not, those people STORMING the Capitol Building on January 6th, 2021 were the “base” of the republican party. McConnell could care less about what is “right,” he cares about 2022 and getting himself back where he believes he belongs, and that’s in charge in the Senate of the United States of America. And, I’m sure, he doesn’t believe he can get there by convicting individual 1 in the Senate “trial.”

Fortunately, there WILL be an actual “trial,” because of McConnell’s decision, because the democrats and Chuck Schumer will be in charge come January 20, 2021. Will there be 17 Senate republicans willing to vote to convict individual 1? I seriously doubt it, even in the face of incontrovertible evidence that, as none other than Dick Cheney’s daughter said, “individual 1 organized the mob, ginned up the mob, and lit the torch which turned the mob into the INSURRECTIONISTS who stormed the Capitol Building. (OK, I was too lazy to get the exact words – what she said was individual 1 is totally GUILTY of inciting the INSURRECTIONISTS) Republicans are living in FEAR of individual 1 AND his INSURRECTIONISTS – who are threatening republicans who “cross the line” and vote against the “fuhrer.”

In 2009 Barack Obama and Joe Biden entered the “White House” facing an unimaginable MESS left behind by George W Bush and the aforementioned Dick Cheney. Many thought we were headed to another Great Depression, and the Obama/Biden “team” managed to mitigate that MESS into what came to be known as the GREAT RECESSION despite Moscow Mitch announcing, right from the start, the number one goal of republicans was Obama would fail. Do you trust McConnell now, with Biden/Harris inheriting a MESS which makes the one Joe Biden faced as Barack Obama’s V.P. look like child’s play.

There’s the pandemic which is NOW killing over 4000 Americans EACH day. According to some experts, “the economy is on ‘life support.'” There are something like 20,000 American who are unemployed with little prospects in the near future, and our nation’s Capital is FULL of National Guard troops in preparation for the next invasion of the Capital by the INSURRECTIONISTS. Honestly, I hope some of the people the FBI is searching for come back to town, making the FBI’s job a bit easier. I mean, some of the INSURRECTIONISTS weren’t that bright on January 6th, 2021 when they committed TREASON (ie Sedition is the charge many will be facing which = 20 years in prison) Regardless, Biden/Harris have their work cut out for them, but that does NOT mean democrats should simply ignore individual 1’s INSURRECTION!

He SHOULD be CONVICTED of his crimes against our constitution (and the Congress and “we the people”) and prevented from EVER holding public office once again. Just as democrats attempted to help individual 1 actually win re-election by passing the “HEROES Act” back in May of 2020 (which, of course, republicans considered “dead on arrival”) they’ve now provided all those ambitious republicans who might want to run for president the “opening” they need, by getting rid of this SEDITIOUS president once and for all. Will republicans do that? Probably not, but, we’ll see.

Joe Biden comes across as the “eternal optimist,” but there’s no doubt he understands the reality of what he is facing. His focus will be on the FAILURES of individual 1’s administration and the challenges are DAUNTING. The Covid-19 pandemic is, well, almost unbelievable. OVER 407,000 Americans are DEAD from just the last year of individual 1’s time in office – where he acted as if nothing was happening. The economy had the worst job numbers since the days of Herbert Hoover – that, really, SHOULD get people’s attention. The issue of racial justice is NOT going away despite the INSURRECTIONISTS ongoing threats. And, America’s foreign policy is in “tatters” as individual 1 leaves office. Why should we be surprised? Our TWICE IMPEACHED two time popular vote LOSING president had no idea what he was doing and, short of giving his rallies to his white nationalist base, he didn’t appear to even want to do the job.

I will now shift my focus to what President Biden is doing as he goes forward as our President and how much of his impressive and progressive agenda he can manage to get past Moscow Mitch’s tendency to want to OBSTRUCT anything which might make democrats look “good.” Of course, here’s the sad reality of American politics, from my viewpoint – republicans are good at “winning” elections and have no idea how to govern effectively. Democrats are lousy at winning elections (they have messaging issues) but, they know how to govern effectively. Brace yourself, because the next two years will be focused on republicans attempting to continue the deadlock on Congress which became their “MO” back when Newt Gingrich was making his mark in the House of Representatives. Stay tuned………………

Final Thought: It is imperative individual 1 would be investigated and, where appropriate, charged with the potential CRIMES he committed while in office. For heaven’s sake, he stood in front of that crowd of white nationalists and urged them to attack the Capitol Building and, soon thereafter, he sent them all a “tweet” that Mike Pense had “failed them” which was soon followed by the crowd chanting “Hang Mike Pense.” It was reported, he was curried away just seconds before the crowd might have encountered him. They had a GALLOWS erected with a noose on the Capitol’s grounds. Those involved, and very possibly that would include individual 1, individual 1 Jr., possibly his girlfriend, Mo Brooks, and Rudy Giuliani, were committing “Capital Crimes.” People DIED in the INSURRECTION, including a Police Officer, and may will likely be charged with SEDITION – which is another word for TREASON.

I believe it is imperative individual 1 NOT be allowed to walk away with no accountability for his CRIMINAL behavior – should it be proven after investigations – because, at this point in time, I believe me MUST re-affirm “America is a nation of laws and not men.” In other words, no one is above the law. America has looked “forward instead of back” in the words of Barack Obama since the days of Ronald Reagan. Reagan CLEARLY was culpable in the Iran Contra scheme as was his VP – in fact George HW Bush was likely more culpable as a former CIA director and operative – and, of course, it was even more public knowledge of the illegal behavior of George W Bush and Dick Cheney which, I believe, left individual 1 feeling he really was “above the law” as our (TWICE IMPEACHED so called two time popular vote LOSING) president.

I have to add: I was one of the 1%. probably the only time in my life I had that distinction, when I read the Mueller report from cover to cover. In fact, I read it twice (and, I’ve thought of reading it again). Here’s the deal: In volume one there was plenty of evidence to suggest there was “collusion” between individual 1’s campaign and the Russians. Roger Stone was critical in finding the truth and he’s now been pardoned – which removes his fifth amendment protection should he be questioned about individual 1’s involvement in the timing of the Russians releasing the stolen emails. Will that be investigated? We’ll see. Further more, in volume 2 there were about 10 credible instances of OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE by individual 1 which, in my view, SHOULD be further investigated and, where appropriate charged. Otherwise, the Special Counsel regulation should be repealed because, if the president can OBSTRUCT it, it has no value legally.

This is another post which I started while individual 1 was in office and hadn’t finished. I’m posting without editing so my apologies for any of my “sixth grade” writing and I hope the day is close where my thoughts will be focused away from our disgraced former president. It appears as if the entire free world is taking a huge breath today with a sense of encouragement. Wow!

I do as much reading as my failing eyes can handle and I’m never even surprised, these days, as I read the words STILL coming from the mouths of those who support individual 1 that the DELUSION runs deep in that part of the republican party which continues to claim individual 1 has some kind of legacy he should have been “burnishing” these past couple of months instead of (in my words) attempting to “burn the place down” on the way out the door. Kellyanne Conway had the “nerve” to suggest we “are more peaceful and prosperous” due to the administration of our TWICE IMPEACHED so-called two time popular vote LOSING president.

When I read that, all I could think was – as I just said – the DELUSION runs deep. And, Ms. Conway wasn’t the only one. Trust me, individual 1’s “legacy” had long since been determined before he instigated an INSURRECTION of the nation’s Capitol while Congress was certifying the results of the 2020 election. Clearly, the attempt was to stop Vice President Pense from actually doing his constitutional duty by the way of, well, HANGING! The invaders, en masse, were CHANTING “hang Mike Pense” over and over AND, they had constructed a gallows on the lawn of the Capitol Building. It seems to me, somehow, they thought the “authorities” would not contest their actions – and, for a couple of hours, it appeared they were correct.

Just that failure of security is going to add to this “saga” as the information slowly “drips” out as investigations proceed. And, I believe individual 1’s “case” before the Senate will get weaker and weaker as time goes by – especially, if his supporters follow through with the online threats to virtually every Capital in the nation as they attempt to stop the inauguration. Joe Biden is intent on the inauguration happening in the traditional manner, without the “parades” and other festivities which have been canceled because of the pandemic (and, who’s responsible for the intensity of that?). If something happens to him or Kamala Harris who do you think is going to get the majority of the BLAME? That shouldn’t take a brain surgeon to figure out!

A legacy of “peace and prosperity” in the words of Ms. Conway, huh? Well, let me just go over this a bit. Peace? The nation is now FULL of right wing HATE groups who view individual 1, in many instances – literally – as their “FUHRER.” These are groups which range from what are described as “neo-NAZI” to just plain “NAZI” militia groups who are heavily armed and have been brandishing their arms at one Capital after another in an attempt to BULLY state legislators into bending to their “will.” In Michigan, one group of the so-called “Boogaloo Bois” were arrested after actively plotting to kidnap and MURDER the governor of Michigan. These people have been openly THREATENING democrats for the entire time individual 1 has been in office and they are intensely loyal to him as their “vehicle” into what they view as the “mainstream” of American politics.

These are the people who marched on Charlottesville chanting “Jews will not replace us” as they carried Tiki Torches, carried confederate flags and wore NAZI armbands – with one of them eventually MURDERING Heather Heyer by driving his car into a group of counter protesters – people referred to as “Antifa” – which of course, means “Anti Fascists.” In the 1940’s virtually all Americans were “Antifa” – it took individual 1 and his thuggish Attorney General to refer to those who oppose FASCISTS as a “terrorist group” – even though there is no organized group “Antifa” – from what I’ve read it’s a loose nit group of Americans who oppose these right wing Nazi and neo-Nazi militias. To individual 1 the Nazi’s and neo-Nazi’s are “very fine people.”

Peaceful? Wasn’t individual 1 who was urging members of Police Departments to be “not too nice” when they’re arresting people? Do you think that had anything to do with all the Black Americans succumbing to the police because, well, because they happen to be Black? Do you think individual 1 might be considered a RACIST by those Americans who are attempting to NOT be racists? And, I phrase it in that light, because most of US white Americans have a hard time understanding the “white privilege” we’ve enjoyed in our lifetimes because, well, it’s something we’ve taken for granted and come to expect. It’s hard for most of us to put ourselves in the “shoes” of someone of color. I’ve had many REALLY good friends who are African American or Hispanic and it’s really hard for me to fully understand what they’ve had to endure. It’s not right, but it is what it is – as the saying goes, and I admire so many of them for their internal STRENGTH to endure the discrimination and still be incredibly STRONG.

Prosperous? Well, I suppose if you have a connection to Wall Street, that’s how you see things. If you’re connection is to “Main Street” not so much – especially, if you’re younger. The level of unemployed Americans, under-employed Americans, and Americans living in poverty is disturbing to say the least – and, I certainly wouldn’t suggest individual 1 is leaving behind a “prosperous” nation – in fact, to a significant degree, quite the opposite. As I’ve written lately, I believe he’s leaving behind a MESS which makes what Bush/Cheney left behind pale in comparison – and, remember, Bush/Cheney left behind a country teetering on another Great Depression. So, where does that leave us now?

Well, also as I’ve written over the past few months, democrats attempted to provide individual 1 with what was necessary for him to win re-election – he just wasn’t smart enough to figure it out. That, itself, would suggest he’s no “stable genius” wouldn’t it? First, they passed three bills to fight the effects of the coronavirus which included the so-called “CARES Act” – essentially bailing out Wall Street PLUS “we the people” from the effects of the virus in it’s early stages – back when it ravaged the Northeast corridor of the nation. Subsequently, as the virus spread ALL across the country democrats passed the “HEROES Act” which was designed to, as Nancy Pelosi said, “crush the virus” and, naturally individual 1 and Moscow Mitch said, “dead on arrival.” That was a foolish move on their part and a BAD move for “we the people.”

But, suggesting individual 1 is leaving behind a “prosperous” nation would need someone who’s “prosperous” and “blind” to what is actually happening in this nation to even think let alone publicly suggest. Today, for example, there were almost another 1 MILLION unemployment claims just this past week. The actual level of unemployment in this nation as I’m typing this is the worst since the Great Depression. And, keep in mind, individual 1 INHERITED a very healthy economy, which he did NOT enhance (the tax scam helped only the “fortunate few” – which must be who Ms. Conway is referring) and, which he has with so much of what he inherited, he has squandered. The economic situation Biden is inheriting is dire – and, personally, I DON’T trust Moscow Mitch to change his obstructionist ways as he’ll try to keep things heading downward thinking that’s his “ticket” back to the majority leader’s chair.

For heaven’s sake, it feels as if I’m just getting started. I haven’t even referred to the attack on the Capitol Building in any detail and the threats which are circulating online about further insurrection when we talk about a legacy of “peace and prosperity.” There are suggestions individual 1 enjoyed watching the INSURRECTION of the Capitol (he did make sure he told the INSURRECTIONISTS “we love you and you’re special”) and the reports are he blocked the deployment of the National Guard with, ultimately, the “go ahead” being given by Pense – who was holed up in the Capitol listening to the supporters of individual 1 chanting they wanted to hang him. At that point I doubt he’d seen the noose hanging from their makeshift gallows, but, you know, that probably wasn’t necessary to get his attention.

There are other reports suggesting republican members of Congress were giving tours of the Capitol building to those who ended up breeching it the next day – possibly explaining how they knew the premises well enough to find rooms which even some of the journalists who work their full time have suggested are hard for them to find. I mean, there are some real “doosies” in our Congress nowadays. All you had to do was listen to a few of them speak as they defended our NOW TWICE IMPEACHED so-called two time popular vote LOSING president from being impeached for INSTIGATING an INSURRECTION which amounted to an attempted coup d’etat. A couple QAnon believing ladies caught my attention – one of them demanding the right to carry a weapon into the Capitol chamber! This is “loony tune” stuff.

The members of Congress SHOULD expel some of the worst offenders in helping individual 1 to instigate this INSURRECTION. Mo Brooks, Jim Jordan, Kevin McCarthy in the House and, of course, Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley (really, along with Ron Johnson and Cindy Hyde-Smith) in the Senate. Of course, there were 8 Senators and close to 140 members of the House who voted to overturn the election – even AFTER the INSURRECTION should have made it clear to them their words “matter.” To me, they don’t deserve the honor of serving in our government if they can’t accept the “will of the people” in a free and fair election. And, many of these people are responsible for helping to pollute individual 1’s feeble mind possibly even causing him to believe his LIES about the election were actually true.

We’ve all know for the previous four plus years individual 1, like a mob boss, is bent on revenge when things don’t go his way. He made this clear well before he was ever “elected” (with the help of Vladimir Putin and James Comey – an unlikely pair) and he’s been dishing out retribution like a mob boss ever since he took the oath of office – which, in effect, was an oath saying he WOULDN’T be doing that – instead, he was supposed to “defend the constitution from enemies both foreign and DOMESTIC.” To him, an “enemy” is anyone who might disagree with him. Sound familiar? I said, from the beginning, I thought he was trying to “be like Vlad.” (OK, if you’re not too sharp, that would be Mr. Putin, himself) What kind of legacy is that?

What did he accomplish besides ONE piece of legislative success – the tax scam, which has pretty much “blown up” in the face of republicans who are now going to return to their “deficit hawk” days – a bunch of judges (who threw out his frivolous lawsuits attempting to overthrow the election by disenfranchising Black people) and a bunch of executive orders which Biden will soon reverse. Thanks to republicans, that’s where our government “resides” these days. Individual 1 reversed a bunch of Obama era successes via executive orders and Biden is going to reverse them right back. Kind of like a “teeter totter” or maybe a better description would be a “roller coaster.” Either way, this is no way to run a government – but with McConnell running the Senate or OBSTRUCTING the Senate (from the minority chair) “it is what it is.”

“We the people,” by and large, want republicans and democrats to work together in order to “get things done” but, the people of Kentucky keep voting McConnell back into office. That being said, on several occasions during the past four years McConnell has said if individual 1 says he’s “for it” then that’s what they would do – although, there was no way the so-called “wall” was going to be built unless individual 1 could have managed to get “Mexico to pay for it.” That was such an absurd claim and people actually fell for it. Now, of course, most republicans will say “we didn’t really believe that” but, in reality, they did. That’s why I’ve been using the term STUPID on this site lately. Of course, MOST of them believe the 2021 election “was stolen” although, that’s also STUPID. Its really EASY to get the actual DATA on the election and it’s EASY to figure out the reason the nearly 60 LAWSUITS filed by individual 1’s goof ball attorneys were FRIVOLOUS because, well, in virtually EVERY instance that’s what the judges told us. Here’s what I always say to someone I encounter who supports our TWICE IMPEACHED so-called two time popular vote LOSING president – STOP watching Fox “news.” Of course, some of them have listened and now watch “Newsmax” which is very possibly worse. I watched it for about a minute and that was all I needed to see. More misinformation and conspiracy theories. Yikes!

And, speaking of the legacy of our TWICE IMPEACHED so-called two time popular vote LOSING president (I’m really getting tired of writing all that) I haven’t even broached the subject of his MISERABLY failed response to the coronavirus. Originally, I focused on the “missing 70 days at the beginning which COULD have saved thousands upon thousands of lives had he initiated a proper response to an incoming pandemic – which had a “playbook” in place (of course, he disregarded it) and a task force which he had disbanded – and, then, by June he totally had become AWOL and was listening to the wack job Scott Atlas who convinced him the solution was “herd mentality” (of course, that meant “herd immunity”) which was a convenient way for individual 1 to do what he usually did – which was NOTHING.

And, now, there will have been over 400,000 Americans DEAD from this virus by the time he leaves office, they’ll be DYING at the rate of over 4000 per day – by FAR the worst response in the WORLD to the virus – and, he’ll still have many supporters believing it’s just another flu – as they threaten their state governments for attempting to do what individual 1 should have to mitigate the effects of the virus which, of course, is NOW mutating! Legacy?

You’re correct, I haven’t mentioned “foreign policy” either. You know, where individual 1 “threw our intelligence community “under the bus” while standing next to Vladimir Putin in Helsinki and shaming himself in the eyes of the “free world” as he said words to the effect of “he really meant it” when he said, “I didn’t do it.” “Very Stable Genius?” I DON’T think so! Individual 1 openly has been doing Putin’s “bidding” for four years leaving members of our intelligence community wondering “What does Putin have on him?” Trying to undermine NATO, repeating Kremlin “talking points,” extorting Ukraine, it just goes on and on. He’s a pariah in the eyes of our traditional allies – although, he’s “in love” with maybe the worst dictator in the world, Kim Jong un of North Korea.

I haven’t mentioned all the kids STILL in cages at our Southern border who may NEVER be re-united with their parents or all the people seeking asylum who’ve been forced into refuge camps South of our Southern border in opposition to any traditional legal expectation of how we deal with those who have legitimate claims of asylum in America. We are a nation of immigrants – I’ve pointed out here, individual 1, himself, is ONLY a second generation American – where does he get off suggesting it’s time to “draw the line.” Of course, his family immigrated from Germany and that would be OK. Or, it’s OK if immigrants come from places like, well, NORWAY. Do you get the idea. He only opposed the people coming from what he referred to as “shithole” countries – I’ll let you figure out what that means or what “legacy” that leaves behind.

I keep adding here that the African Americans – some he has suggested should go back to their “own” countries – have a family history in this nation which predates his own by several centuries. (That’s HUNDREDS of years if you didn’t do math in school) There are a plethora of REALLY talented African Americans and other Americans considered “of color” and, to me, it’s really exciting to see so many of them being elevated into positions of leadership. Sadly, I believe individual 1’s white nationalist base will NEVER accept a nation where “all men/women are created equal.” I’ve pointed out the things I got wrong with individual 1, like the republican party being willing to go down with him, but more importantly to me – I feel a real sense of grief that our nation could have devolved to this dark place. The reality is over 70 MILLION Americans were willing to accept a pseudo fascist as their leader. It’s really quite sad!

Final Thought: It’s no surprise to me there are rumors circulating individual 1 may pardon the invaders of the Capitol Building who have been charged with crimes already – including the so-called Q “shaman” who has openly asked for one. Here’s my suggestion for our (now) TWICE IMPEACHED so-called two time popular vote LOSING president and that is ignore these requests. You’re about to face ANOTHER trial in the Senate and you have a lot STILL to lose should they vote to CONVICT you – which, I believe will be a certainty if you choose to invade these INSURRECTIONISTS. Additionally, decisions will need to be made after you leave office whether to charge YOU or not – or your family members – which can be CHARGED with D.C. Crimes which you can’t pardon. If you pardon the INSURRECTIONISTS I believe your future gets even more “cloudy” than it already is.

I’ve been giving individual 1 advice – along with, of course, a lot of criticism, because he just wouldn’t listen to me – for over four years now. My guess is he may listen this time because, after all, he’s all about, well, individual 1. We’re not seeing him supporting more and more people around him who he believes have either been disloyal or incompetent. (He apparently doesn’t understand his OWN incompetence) For example, the reports today are that he’s STIFFING Rudy Giuliani’s exorbitant FEES for his so-called “legal services.” Giuliani was willing to STAIN himself in one court after another carrying the “water” for the BASELESS claims individual 1 was making about the so-called “steal.” When I first heard Giuliani was charging $20,000 per day (yep, you read that correctly) I actually wondered in individual 1 would pay it? (OK, just to make sure if you’re still reading, it was a “joke” that he might listen to me. I seriously doubt he’s one of the 200 or so who somehow show up here on a daily basis)

After all, our TWICE IMPEACHED so-called two time popular vote LOSING president had raised about a quarter BILLION dollars AFTER the election, supposedly to “fight the steal.” So, I’m sure, Giuliani figured $20,000 per day is, well, “chicken scratch” compared to the $250,000,000 individual 1 had scammed off his adoring “ditto heads.” Well, it’s still individual 1 – he’s been STIFFING lawyers, bankers, workers, etc. for over 50 years. Giuliani FAILED him – now he’s had to accept there’s going to be “a peaceful transfer of power” – based on what are being called the “hostage videos” he’s putting out in his final days in office. So, Giuliani is just the latest person who has FAILED der leader – now, he has to hope for that pardon which, if individual 1 is really mad at him, might be in jeopardy.

I have to add: The republicans who are deciding if they’ll “do the right thing” when individual 1’s trial in the Senate comes due, are not only living in fear of individual 1’s voters, they also understand those who turn on our TWICE IMPEACHED so-called two time popular vote LOSING president almost immediately start receiving DEATH threats. Of course, democrats in Congress have been living with this for four years now. We’ll soon find out the level of courage of the Senate republicans. we’ve already seen Lindsey Graham to be a true COWARD – after being ridiculed after publicly saying individual 1 was a “naughty boy” (my characterization, of course) has turned back into his publicly sycophantic self. Shame on South Carolina for re-electing this cowardly hypocritical deplorable person! We’ll see about the other republicans soon. (If they choose to acquit him, they will deserve what he does to their party between now and 2024)

I wrote this post about a week before individual 1 left town with his “tail between his legs” and I’m still going to post it – This is my “diary in cyberspace” – I write, I believe, to help with my own frustration. I do have to add, for a few of the 150 or so pardons on his way out of office I think he actually did the right thing – although, many of them – like for Steve Bannon – were absurdly offensive. But, why was I not surprised? (Well, actually, I was with the ones which seemed appropriate and well thought out) Also, he DIDN’T pardon the INSURRECTIONISTS – or, quite possibly himself and his family – although he may have done the secretly. Soon the only time we’re talking about him will have to deal with his legal issues and his failing real estate “empire.”

I’ve been saying this for years, maybe 10 years as a matter of fact, there’s a WAR going on in America for the heart and soul of this nation and the ENEMY is the “present day” republican party. This became OBVIOUS to me back when Barack Obama became the 44th president in our history and, first, people like Moscow Mitch were saying things like our “number one goal is President Obama will FAIL.” We heard that from the republicans in power and we heard it ad nauseum from the right wing “echo chamber” – ie Fox “news” and the proliferation of more entities forming on the internet which continue to get more radical. These places on the internet, which I don’t frequent, but constantly “hear” about, are either similar or the SAME entities which are used to radicalize STUPID people by ISIS and Al Qaeda.

Of course, there’s also the Social media outlets like Facebook and Twitter which have been used right out in the open to radicalize people because they have virtually no limits on MISINFORMATION (OK, you’re correct, I should say LIES) being fomented on their platforms and, by the way, coming from foreign governments – like Russia, for example – inflaming America’s racists – ie, the republican base (OK, republicans aren’t the only racists in America). Facebook and Twitter FINALLY blocked individual 1’s NONSENSE and “apps” like Parlor have been blocked, but the extreme fringe of this INSURRECTION will simply find other places to congregate. As I just said, some of them are congregating with the propagandists of ISIS and Al Qaeda. And, when I talk to people I know who’ve been sucked in, it’s really hard because, in essence, much of what they say either makes no sense or is complete nonsense.

I have an acquaintance who believes (I’m guessing, I don’t remember exactly what he said) something like 30 states are going to attempt succession. I mean there have been people I’ve been aware of for some time in Texas (and other places) lobbying for succession. As I just recently said to him, they’ll get the same result they got last time. Here’s the reality which became apparent with Obama’s election back in 2008 – republicans just don’t like the idea of Black people being elected. In fact, they don’t even like the idea of Black people voting. It’s like they want to take us back to the days of “Jim Crow.” It’s unbelievable to me. I’ve lost my tolerance to endure the conversations with these people. Yes, the situation in this nation is serious, and I hope democrats – and, the republicans who haven’t lost their minds – realize this is a WAR. (I’m a strong supporter of the “Lincoln Project” for this very reason – they “get” it)

I believe the WAR will be won at the ballot box, which is tending to prove true after the 2018 and 2020 elections – although, we’re “living on the razor’s edge.” Democrats have a (bad) tendency to be absent during midterm elections, although individual 1 inspired them to show up in record numbers back in 2018. It remains to be seen if this INSURRECTION will catch the attention of enough people who vote for democrats to start PURGING our Congress of the TRAITORS in their midst come 2022? People like Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley, in the Senate, are not up for re-election until 2024 – unless the Senate manages to expel them. However, members of the House have to run for re-election every two years and there are a bunch of them whose re-elections – win or lose – will go a long way to determine how many Americans actually are willing to forgive the INSURRECTIONISTS and their instigators.

Make no mistake, those in the republican party are NOT going to stop using the “BIG LIE THEORY” because they’ve relied on it for the past 40 years. It’s just that individual 1 demonstrated how effective you can be if you’re a PATHALOGICAL liar when your “audience” is full of “uneducated voters” – as he famously said back in the 2016 campaign. When you listen to some of the people who were ATTACKING our nation’s Capitol Building it should be apparent – many of them would qualify for the saying, “The light’s on, but NO one’s home.” One of the people arrested, so far, (there will be HUNDREDS if not THOUSANDS – the FBI has already identified over 300 INSURGENTS) was alternating between thanking Jesus (the MOST offensive part of all this to me) and reminding people back in Texas, “This is how I’ll sell your home.” ???

I’m not sure how her real estate business is doing, but there’s a whole bunch of INSURRECITONISTS who are now unemployed – along with facing charges which could carry 20 year jail terms (Sedition) – I’m guessing those sentences will be handed out to the worst of the instigators, but, in reality, anyone breaching the Capitol COULD be accused of being a seditionist. And, keep in mind, they KILLED on Cop and brutally assaulted many others with 14 still in the hospital the last time I checked. They were beating Cops with their American flags!

I’ve been saying for at least three years (you can check the archives if you don’t believe me) that individual 1’s place in the history books will be right next to Benedict Arnold – and, he’s getting a lot of company. Of course, there’s already William Barr, Mike Pompeo, Stephen Miller, and some others in the administration already there, but now it’s getting crowded – apparently there’ll be a second paragraph.

People like Cruz, Hawley, Ron Johnson, John Kennedy (not the “original” JFK) and, well, there’s too many to list – 147 members of Congress voted AGAINST the voters of Arizona and Pennsylvania. The ones who offend me every time I hear their voices are people like Matt Gaetz, Jim Jordan, Devin Nunez, Mo Brooks, and of course, the person considered the STUPIDEST member of Congress, Louie Gohmert. And, I have to add, if it’s not clear as a bell to you, the voters they oppose are the, well, surprise, surprise African Americans.

Like I said above, these republicans want to take us back to the days of Jim Crow. And, it’s no secret to anyone paying attention, some of the most extreme of those in the militia movement – which has been allowed to fester for years – for sure since Obama was elected – are attempting to start a race “civil war” in America. OMG – back to the days of ………….. You, I’m sure saw all the confederate flags in the INSURRECTION on January 6th, 2021 – there’s your answer. Plus, it’s also no secret out Police forces are full of these white nationalists who are going to have to decide who’s side they’re on “sooner rather than later.” It will be too late for many of them because they participated in the attempted coup d’etat!

I mentioned above the republican response to the election of President Obama and that was when the “Tea Party” was originally formed. And, while we’re giving “credit” here, you can thank the now infamous “Koch brothers” and their network of right wing racist organizations for that movement. Who knows, they may have helped finance the INSURRECTION. And, for anyone who doesn’t understand this, the FBI is looking for anyone who financed the January 6th attempt to overthrow our elected government, those who organized it as well as all those who participated in it. If you don’t understand this, that puts you in the crowd of those I’ve been referring to as STUPID lately!

And, the so-called “Tea Party” has taken over the republican party, at least in the House of Representatives. Their ability to gerrymander enough districts to make some of the WORST offenders almost “untouchable” makes it even more difficult for democrats to keep control of the House although, some my soon find themselves expelled. And, of course, democrats don’t help themselves with their inability to “message” in a way that draws in independent voters on a consistent basis. Although, I believe MOST independent voters (I’m one of them) don’t support the OVERTHROW of our government, democratic messaging MUST improve. That’s why we vote – if you don’t like what’s going on – like the people’s response to individual 1 – the way you change it is to VOTE. And, that’s what has happened in the last four years. Obviously, the right wing in America doesn’t like the idea of LOSING at the ballot box!

And, by the way, my representative is a republican, her name is Jaime Herrera Beutler and, I’ve never voted for her, because, well, she’s a republican and she votes in line with them virtually 99% of the time. In fact, a couple years ago, when she failed to vote with individual 1 on something – like ONE thing, I can’t remember what, the local republicans wanted to censure her. So, I’m sure you can guess how all those people who drive around with two flags on their trucks – one American and one “individual 1,” are thinking about her because she was one of the republicans who, thankfully, voted to IMPEACH individual 1 for the SECOND time. Well, I contact her regularly, usually out of frustration, but after her vote and listening to why she cast it, I called her office to assure her I would be voting for her in the next election. That’s likely a bad sign for her, but I’m now hoping she can hang on to her seat – unless she get’s primaried and there’s a democrat to take over (although, this district is clearly gerrymandered for republicans)

Like anyone else, I have no idea how the near future is going to play out. Will all these right wing nut jobs follow through on their threats to attack the state Capitals in all 50 states? Will the police, National Guard, and FBI treat them as the TRAITORS they are? While I believe Joe Biden is the right person for MOST of the challenges we face as a nation, I’m not sure the response to these thugs is one of them. As my old high school football coach preached, “nice guys finish last.” There’s another old saying “You’ve got to meet fire with fire” and, I believe that is absolutely what is called for right now. Will the National Guard troops in D.C. respond to a violent attack by the INSURRECTIONISTS as the TRAITORS have promised with force? We’ll have to wait to see. Remember, some of them are sympathetic! Stay tuned………………..

Final Thought: I have no doubt there were members of Congress who were complicit in the INSURRECTION. I also believe it will become clear in the next days or weeks. I also believe the more time passes from January 6th the better the chances individual 1 will become the FIRST president in our history who is CONVICTED of his “high crimes and misdemeanors.” Of course, that will require at least 17 republican votes in the Senate (remember, Joe Manchin is NOT a reliable democratic vote) for there to be a CONVICTION. I believe they’ll either get the 17 votes or only a few – because, by and large, the republicans in Congress are a bunch of COWARDS! What do they really believe it? Re-election! If inciting an attempted OVERTHROW of our government is NOT IMPEACHABLE conduct, then they might as well take IMPEACHMENT out of the constitution – because, otherwise it’s nothing more than a political “football” designed to embarrass the opponents of those who control the House.

I thought attempting to EXTORT the leader of a foreign nation to CHEAT in the election SHOULD have been worthy of a CONVICTION, but we all knew that would never happen with Moscow Mitch at the “helm” and, as I said, a bunch of COWERING republicans in the Senate. For heaven’s sake, their “trial” was NO “trial” at all. Maybe this time will be different because, well, attempting to OVERTHROW the government is worse, in my mind, than repeated CHEATING to win elections, but, you know, I’m just a retired 6th grade teacher. And, we ARE talking about republicans who’ve hitched their “wagon” to the racist elements of our nation here! Time will tell!

As I listen to one republican after another suggesting democrats should stop IMPEACHMENT because it’s so divisive I almost gag. These are people who have been aiding and abetting individual 1’s BIGGEST LIE that he “won the election in a landslide” and the democrats are “stealing it” from him – essentially, by allowing Black people to vote. 147 republican members of Congress stood with the INSURRECTIONISTS even after the ILLEGAL INVASION of the Capitol Building – those are the people who have the power to reduce the “division.” They simply need to ADMIT they’ve been LYING to their (STUPID) constituents that the election was actually full of fraud. You know, “fraud” not ONE of them who can quantify with anything resembling evidence.

This has also happened in the governors “race” in my home state of Washington where the right wing candidate who was SOUNDLY defeated in the election has refused to “concede” (apparently, trying to be like individual 1). He’s also, apparently, grifted enough cash from his supporters to be able to pay a lawyer to go to court challenging the results. However, in this instance, the Attorney General of the State of Washington informed the lawyer they were going to move to dismiss the lawsuit as “frivolous” and, should he fail to withdraw it, they would file a complaint with the state Bar Association. At that point the lawyer withdrew the lawsuit and withdrew his representation of his crazy client. And, now, other lawyers are (still) petitioning the court to discipline the losing candidate’s lawyer.

I have an acquaintance who is (sadly) full on sucked in to individual 1’s cult who now sounds just like a white nationalist and, in his latest message to me, is – once again – predicting a “civil war.” He uses the term “conservative” to suggest people like the “Proud Boys” are “conservatives.” These people MUST stop allowing right wing echo chamber media outlets to BRAINWASH them ASAP. I’ve been pointing out for years individual 1, the republican party, and the right wing “echo chamber” have all adopted the “Big Lie Theory” of Adolf Hitler and Joseph Goebbels. I’m now hearing members of the “mainstream” media referencing individual 1’s claim (along with his republican sycophants) that “I won the election in a landslide” along with “the democrats are stealing the election” as the “Big Lie. They’re coming around – now, they simply need to educate the public that “Big Lie” is part of the Nazi propaganda scheme they’ve adopted as their strategy.

By and large, I (an optimist) believe MOST Americans don’t support people who would attempt to overthrow our government. My acquaintance I mentioned above now sounds like someone affiliated with the so-called “Boogaloo” movement – a neo-Nazi hate group which is focused on starting a race war. I’ve pointed out several times since the LYNCHING of George Floyd and the protests which followed that I believe much of the violence and destruction caused during those protests were actually caused by members of the “Boogaloo” movement who infiltrated the protests with their hammers, crowbars, and baseball bats as they started bashing windows and encouraging protesters to vandalize various businesses. In almost every instance I’ve read about since then, the perpetrator arrested was a right wing instigator – not the so-called “Antifa terrorists” we’ve heard so much about from individual 1 and William Barr.

The division in America will not subside as long as individual 1’s supporters continue to spread the “Big Lie” as opposed to apologizing to their constituents for LYING to them about the election – which was called the “most secure” in our history by individual 1’s own appointment to the cyber security department which was protecting the various state elections from voter fraud – which, of course they accomplished. Yet, the places like “Fox news” which has been a LARGE part of the problem have been STILL pushing the LIE. This is sad on so many fronts.

Take for example, there’s still a raging pandemic (and, it’s getting WORSE by the day) which individual 1 abandoned all the way back in June where – over the past week and a half there have been half a dozen days where the DEATH toll of Americans has exceeded 4000 of our citizens. Yet, many republicans continue to act as if this is not a problem. Many of them continue refusing to wear a mask – just one thing they can do to protect those around them – not a guarantee, but a signal we’re all trying to “crush this virus.” Joe Biden has announced a robust plan to do just that and now we’re going to be depending on republicans in the Senate to agree to support it in order to get it approved quickly.

The acquaintance I mentioned above, previously, has referred to Covid-19 as “the flu” just like the “echo chamber” he apparently spends his time in. I really don’t see how anyone can look at the actual data – the DEATH toll will exceed 400,000 in less than ELEVEN months the day individual 1 leaves Washington DC (with his “tail between his legs”) The Obama administration kept the DEATH toll to under 35,000 during the H1N1 crisis and actually left a “playbook” for individual 1’s administration to protect “we the people” from the next pandemic. We’re hardly talking about this as we’ve got a bunch of right wing extremist wack jobs believing the “Big Lie” of individual 1 and threatening to Capitals all across the nation as they continue to attempt an overthrow of our government and a “free and fair” election. Shame on them!

Online, these thugs exchange messaging where many of them talk as if they’re willing to “die” for their cause. Well, now there are over 20,000 armed National Guard troops in Washington DC so they’ve got a golden opportunity to do just that. However, my prediction is they won’t show up as planned this week – unless they can find a state Capital which is not fortified. I’m guessing MOST of these people are actually the very COWARDS they appear, but, I suppose, time will tell. I just shake my head when people like the person I mentioned above suggests there will be another “civil war” – I very succinctly responded to him, if so, it will end just like the last one. These are a bunch of white people who just can’t accept the reality America is evolving to a “more perfect union.” It may have to do so without a bunch of these thugs.

Of course, it won’t be long until a WHOLE bunch of them will be sitting in a jail cell next to some of the people they despise. It was reported today by the FBI they’ve already identified OVER 300 of the INSURRECTIONISTS and the charges these people are looking at are not minimal. We’re talking about Sedition which is another word for TRAITOR and carries a prison term of, at least, 20 years – some of them will be facing MURDER or Attempted MURDER charges on top of Sedition. Plus, there’s a bunch of other SERIOUS charges a whole bunch of them will face. For example, close to 20 “former or active” members of the military have been identified. It’s not likely to end well for any of them. And, of course, there were a bunch of active or former members of various police departments around the country – which is exactly why people are wanting “police reform.” (You can call it whatever you like)

I’m not a fan of Moscow Mitch, but you can see what he’s doing right now. He has a two fold “strategy” in my mind – if I’m not giving him too much credit. He is holding over individual 1’s head a “threat” that he’d better not do anything else between now and the day he’s gone. For example, if he urges these people on again, he’ll be CONVICTED on the spot. Maybe if he starts “pardoning the INSURRECTIONISTS” he’ll be CONVICTED immediately. That’s the first part. Secondly, the time it will take to get from here to the Senate trial will allow the accumulation of more evidence – which, likely will lead to individual 1’s CONVICTION then – unless the Senate republicans are all a group of total COWARDS.

And, of course, then there are all the republicans in Congress who were complicit in this INSURRECTION. The obvious violators are Josh Hawley and Mo Brooks plus the reports are intensifying there were members of Congress leading INSURRECTIONISTS through the halls of Congress on January 5th. OF COURSE, there were supposed to be NO tours in Congress due to the Covid-19 pandemic, so why were these people being shown where all the offices are? I think you can figure this out – unless, of course, you’re STUPID. Which would make you part of individual 1’s cult. Republicans need to apologize for their Big Lie – which, of course, they won’t. It’s the media and corporate America who need to put an end to the Nazi’s/republicans’ “Big Lie Theory” by exposing it and defunding it!

Final Thought: Well, today Franklin Graham stated, “Those who voted to IMPEACH individual 1 (he, of course, used his surname) are the equivalent to those who betrayed Jesus.” Honestly, I just can’t stop shaking my head. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE? This, of course, is the son of Billy Graham and “Christians” all across the country will take his words as an OK to accept INSURRECTION in our nation’s Capital. It appears there’s a good chance I will practice my Christian beliefs in my own home after this is all over – because, I really don’t want to be associated with the people who think such STUPID thoughts as Mr. Graham – who, certainly SHOULD know better. I great reason why our founders were adamant in keeping the “church and the state” separate. Holy heresy!

I can’t stop there. As much as I “get” people who don’t know any better making some kind of comparison with our TWICE IMPEACHED so-called two time popular vote LOSING president, who has LIED something like 30,000 times since taking office, who has been accused of sexual assault by over two dozen women, who LIED his way out of the DRAFT back in the 60’s, who’s violated one law after another since taking office (and, of course, before), who’s been coddling dictators around the world, etc. etc. and Jesus Christ – Franklin Graham? Is he completely NUTS or is he relying on individual 1 supporters for his income? UNBELIEVABLE!!!
