America’s TWO Presidents are DISGRACEFUL! As is our Vice President! “We the People” voted for IDIOTS!

If you’ve been watching politics as long as I have (since the 1960’s) I ask you: When have you EVER seen someone in the Oval Office or the Cabinet Room wearing a BLACK tea shirt underneath a Black trench coat wearing a BLACK baseball cap labeled with “Make America Great Again?” Of course, the answer is NEVER. I don’t believe you’ve EVER seen someone in the “White House” without a suit and tie – usually, a dark suit and tie. (I can remember President Obama choosing to wear a tan suit and getting a barrage of criticism from all these hypocritical republicans. And, to add more emphasis to (f)Elon Musk’s control of our government he’s ALWAYS standing (lording) over Trump and anyone else in the room. Apparently, that’s what $300 MILLION gets you!

(OK I know what you’re thinking – today Volodymyr Zelenskyy was once again in the “White House” wearing his normal Ukrainian clothing – but, he didn’t appear to be in his workout clothes) I don’t know how many times here I’ve said Trump’s plan is to keep those of us who despise him “chasing our tails” and, while (f)Elon Musk is busy attempting to fire thousands of public servants – many in departments involved in investigations of his own corporate interests – we had another version of Trump’s “shit show” in the Oval Office as, first, JD Vance decided to attempt to recreate history right to Zelenskyy’s face – and, when the President of Ukraine would not have it, our 34 times Felon president decided to lay into Zelenskyy before “kicking him out of the White House” – as if he was a naughty sixth grader in Middle School.

This is all getting a lot worse – and, sadly, I believe it will get even much worse before it gets better – which may not happen in what’s left of my lifetime. Trump actually accused Zelenskyy of “trying to start WW III” – when, his own appeasement to Vladimir Putin – a certified WAR CRIMINAL – is what very well could be the precursor to WW III. Trump continues to prove he’s an IDIOT and, for some reason, he feels his “gut” is all he needs in regard to setting “policy.” Worse yet, it will be the RARE republican in Congress who will have the stones to “tell it like it is” in regard to Putin’s INVASION of Ukraine. (I can’t believe I have to put that word into all caps)

So, while Trump is busy as the puppet to the puppeteers who concocted Project 2025 and continues his/their assault on our federal government he’s also managing to work at destabilizing the entire world – much mores so than Bush/Cheney back in the days of our ill-fated invasion of Iraq in 2003. No doubt Putin is using that invasion of a sovereign nation and the overthrowing of their government as the “playbook” regarding to what he’s attempting to do in Ukraine – he just failed to realize how Europe – and America while Joe Biden was President – would respond. Anyone who doesn’t understand Putin was at least as busy working to get Trump re-elected in 2024 as he did in 2016 is, in my view, fooling themselves. (or, making themselves fools)

Modern World History tells us what a STUPID idea it is to coddle up to fascist dictators. And, Trump – trying to extort the so-called “rare earths” from the Ukrainians in exchange for – WHAT??? – all while Putin – recognizing what Trump wants (and, for who? – that remains a mystery) – is “volunteering” to “make a deal” regarding the “rare earths” Russia can supply. And where are these minerals you might ask? Of course, they’re the “rare earths” in the parts of Ukraine Russia has grabbed for themselves. I’ve still been wondering if this “peace deal” Trump was attempting to “broker” involved the Russians retreating back to, well, RUSSIA? If that was something Trump could pull off, despite my feelings toward him (and, of course, they’re not good) I’d give him massive credit. But, with Putin offering to make a deal with Ukrainian minerals – that doesn’t sound like much of a “deal” to me.

Here’s what I believe is evolving in front of our eyes. Trump, who is working to turn America into a fascist state he’s threatening to align this nation with the WORST dictator the world has seen since Adolf Hitler – hopefully much to the chagrin of “we the people.” In response to the DEPLORABLE scene which took place today in the Oval Office we’re already seeing further PROOF of the hypocritical republicans in Congress who were, just days ago expressing their support for Zelenskyy and Ukraine are either coming out publicly NOW as opposing Zelenskyy and, by inference, supporting Russia. These republican senators are a bunch of COWARDS. If they could kiss Trump’s ass on national TV they’d do it – their job is more important to them than our country.

The result of today’s “circus” is that we’re now going to see the Europeans re-arming themselves in ways we haven’t seen since WW II. And, I’m trying to understand what the hell is WRONG with all these republicans in Congress. Hell, the economic crap coming out of the White House and the Dogeshits is going to affect the minority of Americans who reside in the so-called “red states” worse than the rest of us – unless Trump guides America into a full blown depression. I definitely believe the best we can hope for, at this point, is a recession. But, I have no idea if Trump and his sycophants have any idea of how to govern in any kind of emergency.

Keep in mind, Trump inherited (once again) an economy which was/is the envy of the rest of the world. We saw FOUR years of constant job growth under the Biden administration and it appears it will only take a few months for Trump to turn it into a “disaster area.” Trump is SHAMEFUL in every possible meaning of that word – whether it would be for his immoral self in the length of his life (remember, he cheated his brother’s children out of their rights to their grandfather’s estate – and, he’s demonstrated now that he’s siding with the world’s leading fascist. Someone he’s shown to be his IDOL. Let that sink in all you “Christians” who’ve made up his base. And, when your health care or economic security are undermined by his IGNORANCE are you going to continue bowing to him? This may be the WORST day of my life as an American!

Today, Volodymyr Zelenskyy simply gained more respect from me – as he sat in the Oval Office in a set up orchestrated, at first, by our IGNORAMUS Vice President. I would have been devastated had Zelenskyy simply sat their and allowed JD Vance spewing LIES his way and demeaning him in front of cameras and a bunch of people – I have no idea who they were – plus people all around the globe. Zelenskyy had no choice but to defend his “ground” (and, I’m not talking about the “rare earths” Trump wants to get his grubby hands on – stuff the Ukrainians would be happy to sell to America – and others – once this WAR is ended. The way to END this war is for America to beef up their military support of Ukraine allowing them to push Russia COMPLETELY out of their country. Yikes!!!

Final Thought: The other day I was walking out of one of our local grocery stores and I noticed the (large) man sitting on one of the scooters the store provides for people who are having trouble walking – it didn’t appear this guy was in that category. He was sitting there next to a small lady – who looked to be of Asian descent – who was loading a series of cases of bottled water into the back of her vehicle. Several people were walking by, looking at this guy and then choosing to just keep walking by. When I got into earshot of what was happening I heard this guy say, “Are you even an American?” Well, that instantly pissed me off and I probably – well, NO I wasn’t going to walk by and stay silent. I said, “You’re an asshole.”

He immediately took his attention off the lady (which I’m pretty sure she appreciated) and said, “What did you say” as he started to follow me to my car. “I said, you’re an asshole – what right do you have to be asking her if she’s a citizen?” He said, “I didn’t say that.” I said, “Then what did you say?” He said, “I asked if she’s an American.” I replied, “What the hell’s the difference? And, where do you get off thinking you get to ask that of anyone in America?” He said, “She said she didn’t vote. I hate people who didn’t vote.” Then he added, “Did you vote for Trump?” I then noticed the worn out Trump hat he was wearing. I responded, “I don’t vote for effing FASCISTS!” (I used the actual “effing” word) He replied, “Then You’re the fucking asshole.” I said, “I’ll see you later. I don’t like to talk to (OK) fucking idiots.” That was most of it.

When I was leaving the parking lot I realized that I was really pissed – I hadn’t felt such disgust for as long as I could remember – even though I’ve had several conversations with people who are willful parts of Trump’s CULT. Then, today, I watched Trump and Vance attack maybe the MOST honorable leader in the world in what appeared to be a set up. Vance appeared to be “loaded for bear” and he even accused Zelenskyy of participating in a partisan campaign speech in the previous election – which is nonsense. Trump spewed his latest attempt to create “truth” from his barrage of LIES – repeating the LIE America has provided Ukraine with $350 BILLION in assistance – at least DOUBLE the TRUTH.

Democrats Want a Plan? Join Bernie Sanders in Holding Town Halls in “Red” Districts.

Before Trump took (well, LIED about) the oath of office I pointed out, essentially, what was going to be happening. Does that make me a “prophet?” Absolutely NOT! What that means is I read MUCH of “Project 2025.” Along with (f)Elon Musk and Russel Vought Trump is being directed by them as to how their manifesto is going to play out. Most people, including MOST of those who voted for Trump were unable to even imagine what was laying in store. What I said was Trump was going to “flood the zone” with so many executive orders that “we the people” would be “chasing our tails” while Trump and his sycophants are succeeding in doing “stuff” “over here” while we are looking “over there” instead of at what is really the objective.

The first example which comes to mind is Trump’s attempt to take over the Postal Service. Here’s what many are missing here. This is a key ingredient in the republicans objective of causing our “free and fair” elections to resemble those in Russia. Trump and his supporters are already planning for a THIRD term in 2028. While “we the people” are (justifiably) focused on (f)Elon Musk, as he has boasted, taking a “chain saw” to the federal bureaucracy I believe the Project 2025 puppeteers are setting up a back door way to undermine the elections so many of us have depended on our entire lives – I voted for the first time in 1968 – I could NEVER have imagined the American people would vote for a FELON to be our (so-called) president.

Here’s another “red flag” for those of us who actually believe in our democratic republic. Comcast is spinning off MSNBC into its own entity. If you don’t pay attention to the ratings of cable news outlets, aside from the MAGA cult members who are loyal to the propaganda spewing Fox “news” MSNBC has the second highest audience numbers. Rachel Maddow is number one in her time slot, but Fox dominates the ratings. (A sad reality for America) Here’s my point – I’m worried that Musk will simply buy MSNBC for “whatever” and, in essence, shut it down or replace its commentators with those who share his fascist (apartheid) beliefs. The reality for “we the people” is that 90% of the media is dominated by right wing corporate platforms. Should Musk actually do this then that number will be close to 100%. That’s the fascist’s fever dream.

Both of these two issues are “flying under the radar.” One of the main objectives of anyone attempting to turn a “democracy” into a fascist state is to gain full control of the media. Musk demonstrated the value of owning a social media platform when he “Invested” close to $300 MILLION along with a FLOOD of misinformation on his Xtwitter social media app and turned the polling toward Trump in the final couple of months of the campaign. Now he’s using his role as our UNELECTED co-president into eviscerating our non-partisan public bureaucracy – actually CLOSING departments which were involved in investigating his businesses.

I believe there’s a full throated effort on behalf of those behind Project 2025 to FIX the upcoming “elections” in a way which will make them simply a an exercise in supporting the republican’s “permanent republican ‘majority.'” I keep listening to the “experts” attempting to understand what is actually happening and what can be done about it. The problem, for me, is what I hear is a different version of what I’ve witnessed from democrats for the past 40 years. Yes, the democrats know how to govern. NO, they have no idea how to fight against the fascist republicans. (More on that in a bit)

As I always say – with republicans there’s always MORE – OK, I know I just wrote that, but…. Where to start? If you’ve read this far I’m guessing none of this is new. But, just spend a little time thinking about what is happening to our military. Of course, first it was the confirming of Pete Hegseth, a Fox “news” weekend host, as the Secretary of Defense. Hegseth has been reported to be a public drunk and an abuser of women – NOT what MOST people would think you’d see on the resume of someone aspiring for such an important position. But, sure enough, now that Hegseth is the Secretary of Defense all hell is breaking out. (Is this what the Trump administration means by choosing people based on merit?)

I won’t get into the rabble which has come from Hegseth’s mouth at this point, but there’s plenty of other indicators that indicate “we the people” are facing something which hasn’t happened before in modern (since WW II) America. First, the head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff for the miliary – Gen. Charles “CQ” Brown – was fired – because he’s “woke.” I’ve told you before, if you’ve been here, just substitute the word “Black” for “woke” and you’ll get the REAL meaning. (We can thank Huddie Ledbetter – ie Leadbelly for that term) The new head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff is a Trump loyalist. He goes by “razin Caine.” Apparently, that’s what they mean by “merit.”

The head of the Navy was a WOMAN – Admiral Lisa Franchetti – a 30 year veteran of virtually every level of serving in our Naval force, Hegseth called Franchetti a “DEI hire” in his 2024 book, in which he wrote: “If naval operations suffer, at least we can hold our heads high. Because at least we have another first! The first female member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff — hooray.” Once again, is this really our new “merit” system?

You can look at one department after another and you see the same thing. People being fired at random by either Trump appointees or directly by (f)Elon Musk and the DAMAGE to our nation is becoming more IMMENSE by the day. Of course, using the ignoramus form of cutting jobs Trump and Musk (and their appointees) are impacting the lives of actual Trump supporters. Me, knowing the republican members of Congress are such cowards they can’t be depended on to put this to a stop, I’ve been watching Bernie Sanders who I believe has the solution to this problem – and, possibly, if it’s not already too late, the problem of the FIXED upcoming elections. (Remember, one of the KEY strategies of republicans is PROJECTION. So when Trump says the elections are “fixed” you need to understand that’s his objective. “Blame your opponent for that which you are, yourself, GUILTY.” Straight from Mein Kampf!)

So, back to Bernie Sanders – a great politician who has been “written off” by many in the beltway – as a “socialist.” (Prediction: he’s going to be looking better by the day) Senator Sanders is traveling across the country to RED districts and holding the “Town Halls” those republican voters AREN’T getting from their Representatives and Senators. And, if you get a chance, check our some of the results. (You can check it out HERE) More and more Trump voters are becoming ANGRY because they had no idea Trump and Musk would be coming after them. Yes, that’s a sad state of affairs, but, regardless – it’s time to hear from these people and, apparently, it will require democrats to give them a voice. Democrats who want to make a difference SHOULD be spreading out all over the RED districts in America – especially those of vulnerable republican candidates – and holding town halls. Give these Americans who live on Fox “news,” “Newsmax,” and other right wing outlets a chance to voice their displeasure – because it exists and these people need to understand it’s the democrats who hear them.

Final Thought: This takeover of the American government by fascists is happening VERY quickly. While democrats are arguing amongst themselves about what they should be doing Trump and (f)Elon are busy staying one step ahead. The barrage of ILLEGAL acts are a front for what I believe is the real plan – and, that is to complete the job of undermining our “free and fair” elections. I hear democrats talking about all the voters from 2020 who stayed home – and, I have to wonder, is that really the “end of the story?” I keep remembering the guy in Wisconsin who, after Ron Johnson was re-elected to the Senate in 2022 bragging that republicans prevented enough inner city voters from Milwaukee and Madison to make the difference in the election – he did this publicly. Now, (f)Elon is dumping MILLIONS into Wisconsin to back a right wing judge who, if he wins, will turn their court to the right. Here’s what I’m wondering: How many people were blocked from voting in 2024 and did it have an effect on the outcome? In other words: Were these voters apathetic or victims of voter suppression? Stay tuned….

It’s Time for IMPEACHMENT #3! Full Stop!! And, it should include JD Vance and MORE!

I often don’t start my rants with the title, but today the only thing I can think of is “how did “we the people” vote an Imbecile into the “White House?” According to the American Heritage Dictionary here’s the definition:

A person who is considered foolish or stupid.

A person of moderate to severe mental retardation having a mental age of from three to seven years and generally being capable of some degree of communication and performance of simple tasks under supervision. The term belongs to a classification system no longer in use and is now considered offensive.

One destitute of strength; esp., one of feeble mind; — sometimes used as a pejorative term.

Every place in the Western world, with the exception of MAGA land, that is the word being used to describe our so-called four times indicted 34 times convicted of FELONIES president around virtually every where except maybe Russia, Saudi Arabia, or maybe Israel. OK, maybe others are using terms like STUPID, MORON, IDIOT – I’ll let you take your choice.

No sooner had Trump spent an hour or so on the phone with Vladimir Putin than he was spewing the Kremlin’s talking points in regard to Ukraine and setting up “peace talks” WITHOUT Ukraine. Worse than that Trump referred to Volodymyr Zelenskyy as an unelected dictator who “needs to hold elections” (he can’t according to Ukrainian law while the country is at war), Trump suggested Zelenskyy’s poll numbers were at 4% (They’re really at 57%), and he claimed Ukraine had STARTED the war. Let that sink in, even if you’re a member of the MAGA cult. How can anyone be that STUPID. Like in the definition above, Trump needs adult supervision.

Trump has turned (f)Elon Musk loose on one federal department after another – INCLUDING, so it seems, Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid – areas where he’s PROMISED over and over “not to touch.” Of course, if I haven’t learned NOTHING coming out of Trump’s mouth is reliable by now, that’s on me. Of course, he’s going to do whatever Musk tells him to do. I’m at the point where, as far as America’s domestic policy is concerned it’s Musk and Russel Vought making the decisions and regarding foreign policy it’s Vladimir Putin. The Russians reacted with pure JOY when they heard Trump’s comments regarding Ukraine. The Europeans not so much!

As I try to figure out how anyone could be that stupid I keep thinking, “There must be a pee tape.” Or who knows what else the Russians have on Trump, but it’s got to be something – because how could ANY American be so STUPID as to stand before a camera and act like it’s Putin’s words coming straight out of his mouth? Of course, the next day Trump crowned himself America’s KING – complete with a photo with an actual crown on his toupe – and, in a second photo with a robe to go along with the crown. He’s NUTS. Can you even imagine if Joe Biden had done any of this?

I keep thinking of all the democrats who didn’t seem to understand how old Joe Biden was until he gave a poor performance at the debate. I’ll try not to say this here again, but the issue WASN’T Joe Biden’s age – it was the person he was running against. Trump was the issue along with the FOUR indictments (OK three indictments and 34 FELONY convictions) not to mention – what I brought up seemingly endlessly – Project 2025 – which “we the people” are beginning to understand as each day passes.

And, draining the swamp? For heaven’s sake – it shouldn’t be hard to visualize Musk and the other BILLIONAIRES who were crawling over themselves at Trump’s inaugural seemingly to be able to touch the “king’s robe” – laughing as they’re pilfering our economic future in order to get MASSIVE tax cuts (if any of them pay taxes in the first place) so they will have even more BILLIONS. Maybe when some of those in my peer group don’t get a Social Security check, or their Medicare insurance is canceled – maybe that’s what it’s going to take to get their attention – because I know several of them who don’t have the slightest care about all the people losing their jobs and the people DYING as a result of the indiscriminate slicing up of government agencies.

There’s going to be a reckoning for all of this. Every republican president since 1980 has left office with a mess for the democrats to clean up. The TRICKLE UP economics started with Reagan – who was putting the philosophy of Lewis Powell and Milton Friedman (as if there are “free markets” in America) on steroids and the top 1% of Americans have gained something like $30 or $40 TRILLION out of the Middle Class since then. And, of course, here they go again.

George W Bush and Dick Cheney inherited a $250 BILLION annual economic surplus from Clinton/Gore and left the “Great Recession” for Barack Obama and Joe Biden to “clean up” after the financial crash of 2008. The amnesia of the American voters allowed Trump to “win” (remember, he CHEATS at everything including golf) the 2016 election leading to another “tax cut for the rich” in 2017 and an economy which was the ONLY economy in modern American history to have a NEGATIVE job creation record – MINUS 3 MILLION jobs. Plus 4000 people were dying per day from the mismanaged COVID pandemic and (of course there’s always more) an attempted coup d’etat after Trump LOST the 2020 election – by a LOT!

During Biden’s four years in office there were MORE jobs created than in any four year period in American HISTORY. Let that sink in – so, we got 78 year old pathological LIAR and, DERANGED Donald Trump instead of Joe Biden who – is too old – BUT he’s STILL the most proficient person in this country at understanding how our government works. You can NEVER make everyone happy (and shouldn’t be trying to do so) but, “we the people” should have had at least enough memory cells to remember what Trump’s first term was like – we must have MILLIONS of masochists to want another go around.

Democrats have been afraid of their own shadows for as long as I can remember – but, they’d better figure out what is at stake REAL fast! It’s one thing for Trump and Musk to undermine the American economy – but, to throw Ukraine under the bus and to adopt the talking points of Vladimir Putin? Just writing that makes my stomach feel queasy. And, just ponder this – Putin’s aims go way beyond Ukraine – and, I don’t doubt for a second that he and Trump were discussing his longing to recreate the Soviet Union. Trump’s appeasing Putin is SO reminiscent of Neville Chamberlain and Hitler back in WW II – possibly leading to WW II. Trump may very well be setting the stage for WW III.

Trump wanted to pull the U.S. out of NATO back in his first term and now, it seems obvious to me, he’s got the sycophants in place – yep, I’m talking about you JD Vance, Pete Hegseth, and Tulsi Gabbard – to enable him to do it. Talk about employing the “best and brightest?” NOT!!! Hegseth has a history of harassing women and excessive DRINKING, Vance has virtually NO international experience and Gabbard is a Russian “useful idiot.” (Of course, so is Trump) Is Trump going to cause the U.S. to stand idly by as Putin sets his sights on Moldova, then Poland, and then??? And, will the COWARDLY republicans in Congress just idly watch from the “sidelines?”

I’m really losing my patience with those I know who are OK with all of this. The parallels of what happened in Nazi Germany are about as obvious as they could get – yet, I know people – my age – people who’ve spent their lifetimes experiencing the best this country has to give – who are actually cheering this stuff on. I’ve been involved with a text exchange with a guy – older than me, in his 80’s – who says “I’m not a racist” while spewing one racist text my way after another. I’ve tried to give him some facts in order to get him thinking about what he’s saying – but, to no avail. He told me “I don’t watch Fox “news” – I watch “Newsmax.” I have to admit, I’ve NEVER watched “Newsmax” – but based on this guy’s racist commentary – well, I finally texted him – “that’s enough.”

I have to wonder when those who voted for Trump will begin either realizing their mistake – and saying so – or, more likely, start saying they didn’t vote for him. Musk has no idea what he’s doing with his Dogeshits randomly cutting agencies and pilfering through the personal data of MILLIONS upon MILLIONS of Americans. I have to wonder, what happens when they screw up a data base and can’t figure out how to undo their ransacking of it? Additionally, what happens when we find out the Iranian hackers, or Chinese hackers, or Russian hackers, or North Korean hackers have penetrated a data base with Social Security numbers, bank account info, etc. of MILLIONS of Americans? Will (f)Elon Musk say – sorry? Give me a break!

Final Thought: Here’s what I can hope for. Let’s start with (f)Elon Musk’s Tesla corporation going in the tank – people would STOP buying his cars. When I see one of the “Cybertrucks” all I can think of is it must be a republican who would spend money on something so ugly. How about, Trump’s social media impostor dropping on the stock exchange to where it belongs – and, that is at or near ZERO. Plus Trump’s ponzi scheme with his so-called crypto (fake) coin would cave in upon itself. Trump, of course, has made certain he won’t be the loser due to transaction fees charged to all the SUCKERS who purchased those “coins.”

Thanks to America’s “uneducated voters” I’m not going to live long enough to see Trump thrown in jail (where he belongs) – but, maybe with a little luck I’ll live long enough to see him thrown out of office. Keeping in mind, he’s busy setting up a circumstance where our so-called “free and fair elections” will be a thing of the past. Just this day, he has proposed that HE will get rid of the leadership of the United States Postal Service and “absorb the Postal Service into his administration.” Can he do that? I sure as hell hope not – because, clearly, that would be the first step in ending our elections as we’ve known them. Trump is no genius – but, keep in mind, something like 170 of the worst of the worse in America wrote Project 2025 and they are orchestrating all of this surreptitiously. The shit is hitting the fan! Stay tuned!!!

Trump’s “deplorable” behavior was all so predictable! First a TRAITOR to the U.S. and, now, a TRAITOR to Ukraine! Disgusting!!!

I’m no political genius but simply a retired blue collar worker/Middle School teacher who does a lot of reading – including as much as I could stomach of Project 2025. So, when Trump LYING about his oath to our constitution – while refusing to place his hand on the Bible – was fast approaching I began sharing my thoughts (rants) about what “we the people” were about to experience. (Of course, during the campaign Trump LIED – surprise surprise – about his connection to Project 2025 – LYING right to the faces of his voters as he denied any knowledge of Project 2025’s roadmap to fascism) And, I believe, once again, my prediction was right on the “nose.”

I started predicting Trump was going to “flood the zone” – which SHOULD have been no secret as he was promising hundreds of executive orders on “day one.” Of course, his research challenged supporters were simply expecting the price of eggs would go down and the war in Ukraine would be stopped. It was obvious to me the executive orders initiated by Trump would be “dizzying” and, the term I used was progressives (and TV commentators) would find themselves “chasing their tails” as they attempted to keep up with the (mostly ILLEGAL) orders coming from Trump.

I have to admit, I totally underestimated the POWER Trump was willing to give (f)Elon Musk – thanks to his reported $290 MILLION “investment” in Trump’s campaign which, arguably – along with Musk’s massive deluge of misinformation on Xwitter – was responsible for Trump’s election “win.” Musk is very definitely contributing to the “flood” of “stuff” which has people desperately trying to “keep up” with the “deconstructing of the administrative sate” – another phrase for Trump 2.0 enacting coup d’etat 2.0.

So, while people are flooding into the streets to protest Musk – I’d like to know how he got this POWER – who’s “firing” federal employees by the THOUSANDS. In addition, Musk and his teenage geek squad – who are leaving techno trails full of holes easily hacked by those who want an easy opportunity for access to America’s sensitive computer files as they jump from department to department – what may be termed “a trail of tears 2.0” by “we the people” after we discover who has gained access to our Social Security numbers, our medical records, our IRS data, and whatever personal info is stored in the government’s computer servers. I’m not attempting to make light of the original “Trail of Tears” – I’m just thinking a LOT of “tears” will be shed by the American people as they/we discover the DAMAGE the Trump/Musk administration is leaving behind.

Maybe the worst part in all of this, from my viewpoint, is the FACT that while “we the people” are “chasing out tails” trying to figure out what all this DAMAGE actually is, Trump is spending time on phone conversations with Vladimir Putin and setting up “peace negotiations” in a meeting which apparently is scheduled between Trump and Putin and taking place in Saudi Arabia. That’s right “peace negotiations” without the Ukrainians NOR the Europeans – the two entities which are depending on “we the people” to help put Putin’s forces AND his “land grab” of portions of Ukraine back in Russia. OMG, what could possibly go wrong?

Based on the arrest warrant put out for Putin by the International Criminal Court (ICC) Saudi Arabia is one of the few places around the globe where Putin can go without being arrested. Sadly, one of the other places would be the United States of America. That’s because of two factors – first the U.S. doesn’t recognize the ICC (probably because it was founded about the time the GW Bush/Cheney administration LIED America into an invasion of the soverieng nation of Iraq and subsequently authorized TORTURE in both Iraq and Afghanistan) and secondly, our (so-called) president is a convicted FELON and doesn’t respect our own laws.

Just Trump taking this meeting (er negotiation) might be enough to lead to the dissolution of NATO – the post WW II alliance which has kept the world relatively safe since the 1945 end of the war. Obviously, as Trump is doing his Neville Chamberlain impression, our so-called president is speeding up his promise to pull the U.S. out of NATO – and his sycophantic republican enablers – cowering in their Washington DC congressional offices – won’t have the guts to object to what could be even MORE destablizing to the world than the Bush/Cheney fiascos in Afghanistan and Iraq shortly after the turn of the century. Apparently, unsettling America isn’t enough for Trump. He’s got his sights set on Europe. Is he going to help Putin reconstitute the U.S.S.R.? Holy Dogeshit! (My language appears to be getting more descriptive)

I’ve been watching the courageous Ukrainians who’ve been FIGHTING to preserve their fledgling democracy for over 10 years now – losing hundreds of thousands of their people because of the brazen ILLEGAL invasion of their soveriegn territory (well, kind of just like the U.S. going into Iraq – oops!) by the war CRIMINAL Vladimir Putin. And, somehow the American people were STUPID enough to put a CRIMINAL in charge of our government – so, it shouldn’t be too surprising the two CRIMINALS will be meeting in Saudi Arabia – under the auspices of Saudi’s main CRIMINAL, MBS, to work out some kind of “peace agreement” for the Ukrainians. OMG – I can’t believe the words which are coming out of my keyboard. What the hell is going on???

Volodymyr Zelensky – totally NOT surprising – turned down an (apparent) offer from Trump of Ukraine GIVING America 50% of its “rare earth elements” (ie REE’s) in return for continued U.S. support in the fight against Putin. I’ve heard estimates their “rare earth elements” (critical components of much technology) are worth from $5 TRILLION to as much as $37 TRILLION. So, Trump “ONLY” wants half of that in return for the estimated $110 BILLION of assistance already provided for Ukraine and if he can’t get his hands on it via a deal directly with Ukraine he’s perfectly willing to work out a “deal” with Putin. Why should ANYONE be surprised? Trump could care less about the people of Ukraine and whether their democracy survives – or for that matter, the people of Russia. Trump is full of dogeshit and “we the people” are stuck with him for four LONG years.

Well, unless a few republicans in Congress “grow a pair.” They had an opportunity to end this nightmare TWICE back in 2020 – but, they preferred a couple hundred thousand extra Americans dying from COVID and an attempted coup to honoring their oath of office – and, of course, they’re at it again. They’re standing by as (f)Elon Musk and his crew – including “Big Balls” – are rummaging through our personal data and while Trump is undermining 3 YEARS of Ukraine’s fight for survival against Putin and Russia. “We the people” deserve what we’re experiencing – but Ukraine DOESN’T!

There’s another key component to this attempt by Trump to gain control of Ukraine’s rich amount of these key REE’s. As of right now, China is the leading producer and exporter of these minerals which are key to the production of many aspects of technology. (I have no idea how to explain this because I know virtually nothing about these elements – but, they are considered “key” for a reason – look it up) Here’s the point. China is reportedly going to scale back their exports of these minerals and Trump is trying to do his bullying routine on China via tariffs and I believe they might just be willing to do some bullying back – if you know what I mean.

Now China has been cozying up to Putin and Russia while this terrible war has been going on in Ukraine, but I believe as soon as Trump starts making strategic agreements with Putin the Chinese will be looking more to Europe, the Middle East, Africa, or SE Asia for trading partners. My instincts tell me China is not interested in forming a triumvirate with Putin and Trump – to “rule the world.” I very possibly could be wrong (I really hope not) but, it appears to me Trump’s latest attempt to shake down Ukraine is due to the need for these minerals coming from China. If China shuts off the “spigot” then the U.S. will have no other alternative but to buy the finished “goods” from China. Factoring the tariff trade war in Trump’s fever dream and….. well, you get the point.

So, while (f)Elon Musk has people all across America wondering “what the hell is going on?” as our private information is becoming “public” to “Big Balls” and the other geeks pilfering through “we the people’s” sensitive personal data (along with – the Iranians, the Russians, the Chinese, the North Koreans, and whichever other hackers want to penetrate what is reportedly not difficult to penetrate) and Americans all around the country are hitting the streets to protest this outrageous violation of their privacy rights Trump is potentially selling out Ukraine as a “negotiating tool” to get his grubby hands on their rare mineral wealth. This was all so predictable even a retired teacher could figure it out!

Final Thought: I just returned from a short trip to visit a friend and, while driving, I listened in HOROR to our so called four times INDICTED convicted of 34 FELONIES bad mouthing Volodymyr Zelenskyy, calling him a dictator and suggesting his approval rating among Ukrainians was 4% and BLAMING Zelenskyy for starting the war. That’s right – Trump is regurgitating Vladimir Putin’s GARBAGE! I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised by this either – seeing as how he put a Russian “useful idiot” in charge of America’s intelligence service – and he doesn’t have to worry about a SINGLE republican with the “balls” to call him out on being a TRAITOR to Ukraine. First he was a TRAITOR to America with an attempted coup, and somehow he convinced the American people to put him back in the “White House.” It’s going to be four LONG years – and, the United States may NEVER recover from the DAMAGE he’s inflicting DAILY. To me, what he said yesterday is the WORST words that have ever come out of an American President’s mouth! In the 1940’s he would have sided with Hitler in WW II! This has brought me to the level of being REALLY pissed! IMPEACHMENT #3 can’t happen fast enough for me!

The DAMAGE Musk and his “Big Balls” are doing could take years to overcome!

I really don’t know what it’s going to take. I’m just a retired 6th grade school teacher and I’ve been pointing out for several years now that Trump and his republican sycophants long ago adopted the tactics of the Third Reich from back in 1930’s Germany. (Yep, I’m talking about Hitler himself) Combining the “Big Lie Theory” with the use of “projection” you have the key to the Nazi’s scheme to fool the German people into subservience AND that of followers of the so-called leader of the “MAGA” movement in America. When Trump’s lips are moving he’s either LYING or committing projection – or BOTH – as he keeps his loyal minions actually believing he cares about them.

Many people are questioning the intelligence of the MAGA faithful – many of them part of the country’s Middle Class to lower Middle Class. They apparently weren’t watching the inauguration as America’s top BILLIONAIRES were tripping over one another to get closer to our so-called 34 times FELONY four times INDICTED president who refused to put his hand on the Bible as he took LIED about the oath of office. You know, to make sure the office is faithfully executed and the constitution is defended. (Maybe I should say “the office is defended and the constitution is executed”)

Now, most of the people I know who are part of Trump’s CULT have no idea what all is taking place – for example, they simply see Elon Musk and his “Big Balls” looking for “waste fraud and abuse” in the federal government. Of course, what they’re really doing, aside from rooting around in files (including MY personal information – AND those MAGA faithful who either have no idea or are OK with 19 year old geeks going through their Social Security numbers, bank records, Medicare account, etc.) where they don’t belong according to one court after another. So far, they’ve “found” little to nothing while the Inspectors General who were fired shortly after Trump LIED about the oath found OVER $90 BILLION just last year alone.

The actual objective is to, in essence, destroy various American institutions using the Richard Nixon “back door method.” That is, either totally undermine the department by “firing” people they have no legal right to “fire,” or by simply blocking the funding which keeps the department afloat – or BOTH. Like they did with USAID (the United States Agency for International Development). Courts are working to undo this travesty, but much of the damage is impossible to undo. People around the world are DYING because of the lack of medical care or desperately needed FOOD – close to half a BILLION dollars worth now stuck in warehouses around the world – Trump gave the orders to stop USAID immediately – the food is ROTTING.

This is food supplied by American farmers who will lose around $2+ BILLION worth of contracts to provide grains and other food stuffs for USAID. And, keeping in mind, Trump’s base is largely made up of “Christians.” What a wonderful “witness” to be sending to countries around the globe where we’re also sending missionaries in an attempt to spread the “Gospel.” When you see the photos of the little children who can not wait for America’s courts to force the Trump administration to restart this program which is such an important part of America’s foreign policy – it breaks the heart of compassionate people in a plethora of ways. Reports are that an untold number of people have succumbed already because of this “deplorable” decision by co-resident Musk (apparently, USAID was investigating his Starlink Satellite business) – but, for the sake of them and for the sake of our country this program can’t be restarted soon enough.

I’ve written this before, but co-president Musk was facing numerous investigations and lawsuits regarding his businesses which rely on and have relied on government contracts – he actually has a $400 MILLION contract for “armored Teslas” which he’s now attempting to hide from the MAGA faithful and he’s succeeded, at least so far, because, well, they’re not too curious – his (what I call) “Dogeshits” are facing (and losing) NUMEROUS lawsuits with judge after judge issuing “TRO’s” (Temporary Restraining Orders) stopping them until a court can have a hearing to decide if what they’re doing is constitutional. Constitutional? You know, that pesky document Trump and his Project 2025 (and the Sieg Heil saluting Musk) find to simply be an obstacle they will eventually ignore – one way or another? (JD Vance – and Musk – have suggested simply telling the judges to “pack sand” – my characterization)

Speaking of the Trump administration’s disrespect of Judges – if you’ve had your head OUT of the sand you know the big deal over the past week has been the refusal of at least 7 federal prosecutors to file a motion to dismiss the corruption charges facing New York (democratic) Mayor Eric Adams. Adams made a trip to Mar a Lago in mid January – prior to the inauguration (which he attended) and, sure enough, based on the document from Assistant Attorney General Emil Bove (one of Trump’s lawyers in the case where Trump was unanimously convicted of 34 FELONIES) a document which is public, the Acting US Attorney (AUSA) for the Southern District of New York – whom Trump had appointed only three weeks prior and whose conservative bonafides are unquestionable – was ordered to dismiss the charges against Mr. Adams.

Actually, the attorneys from the office of the Southern District of NY were planning to file a “superseding indictment” against Mayor Adams bringing additional charges. The AUSA, Danielle Sassoon, in what I call a Liz Cheney moment, refused and, because AG Pam Bondi wouldn’t meet with her, she resigned. I copied (as best I could – and, it is word for word) Ms Sassoon’s explanation of why she couldn’t fulfill that request in front of a “real” judge (again, my characterization) who might not be too happy with a lawyer violating her oath of office. Mr. Bove didn’t take that well – to him this was insubordination, pure and simple, and he moved the request to “Main Justice.” Obviously, those at the top of Trump’s Justice Department don’t put a lot of “stock” into their oaths of office!

When the “smoke” had cleared SEVEN prosecutors had resigned from the Department of Justice (maybe more will do so) and Bove – obviously incensed – according to published reports gathered 20 prosecutors at Main Justice and gave them one hour to decide who was going to sign the document which needed to be submitted to the court in New York. Apparently, one guy – I believe his last name is Sullivan – who is very close to retirement agreed to do so in order to take the heat off the other lawyers. They were threatened with being fired if they refused and offered promotions to sign the document. Yikes!! Another “quid pro quo.”

Here’s what’s interesting to me about this – other than it does remind me a bit of the “Saturday Night Massacre” back in the Nixon administration (although, there were only two lawyers who resigned in that instance) – when you read ALL the documentation and you put “two plus two” it’s almost IMPOSSIBLE to conclude anything other than this is the classic “quid pro quo.” (This for That) Mayor Adams gets the charges (kind of) dropped and Trump gets a cooperative mayor as he attempts to gather MORE undocumented immigrants to deport than what President Biden was doing without all the “hoopla.” To me, BOTH Bove and Adams allegedly committed the crime of a “quid pro quo.” (What’s the old saying? “It takes two to tango.”

The next step here is to watch how this New York judge responds to the request for dismissal. Although him refusing is unlikely, it’s apparently NOT impossible. I believe, at a minimum he SHOULD pull all these people into court and have them explain themselves UNDER OATH. It appears to me, Mayor Adams may have agreed to another questionable “deal” and Mr. Bove may have violated the oath of someone who doesn’t put FALSE information in front of a Judge. To me, it won’t be hard for the Judge to figure out what is going on here, the question is will he have the guts to do the right thing.

Ms. Sassoon wrote a very detailed explanation of why she couldn’t follow the directive (again, it’s in the previous post here) PLUS she pointed out her “team” along with Adams and his counsel and Mr. Bove had a meeting in late January where Adams was addiment he would be unable to fulfill the wishes of Trump’s administration that he help with the roundup of undocumented immigrants (we’re ALL immigrants in some kind of way) in New York city unless they could get the charges against him dismissed. Ms. Sassoon said one of her aides was taking contemporaneous notes and was reprimanded by Mr. Bove and who collected the notes as the meeting adjourned. If I was the judge I would demand Bove bring those notes to the courtroom when he must defend his rationale for the dismissal. (Of course, Bove’s part of Trump’s administration, he will LIE – that’s just a prediction – if only I could get the judge to read this)

Trump is a corrupt individual. He’s been LYING and CHEATING his entire life. He’s got a record of being an overt racist which dates back around 50 years. He’s been trying to get the “people that matter” in New York – and, now around the globe – to “like” him – which is, from my perspective, impossible. Unless you’re a lowly republican minion who apparently watched too many episodes of the “Apprentice.”

I know people who believe in Christ, say they believe in the Ten Commandments and, yet, act like Trump is their IDOL. It’s all very “unChristian” to me – but, what do I know. The Lord put politics on my heart when I was a young lad (I still clearly remember the arguments of my parent over Eisenhower or Stephenson in the early 50’s.) I pray “we the people” will be able to put a stop to this fascist takeover of our nation – but, it seems like an uphill climb at this point. Will it take a collapsed economy to get the MAGA faithful’s attention – or just policy decisions which have a negative impact on them. Who knows? But, the DAMAGE Trump, Musk and his “Big Balls” are doing as they expose America’s most sensitive file systems to foreign (and domestic) hackers could take years to overcome!

Final Thought: I’ve been reading reports about how Musk and his teenage warriors aren’t as computer literate as they’d like us all to believe. Some of their “website” work has been easily hacked by people who seem to be having a bit of fun with their incompetence. However, they’re messing around in some of the most critical files in our government and, at this point, who knows who else is rooting around in those files. Do you really believe the Russian, Chinese,, Iranian, North Korean hackers and who knows who else are NOT gathering up our personal data for “use in the future?” – if you know what I mean. “We the people” are going to have to put up with four years of this. My hope is there will still be “free and fair” elections in 2026 – but, I can guarantee you that’s not the Project 2025 plan. Republicans have been dreaming for years of their so-called “permanent republican majority” and, if you haven’t been paying attention its color is WHITE. They believe their own voters are STUPID and that’s the key to their long term success. Trump is actually believing he’ll be elected to a third term in 2028. Stay tuned!!!

Danielle Sassoon = heroine. Emil Bove = hypocritical thug. Take the time to READ Ms. Sassoon’s incredible resignation letter! There are still people of principle in our government. (Or was)

BY EMAIL
The Honorable Pamela Jo Bondi
Attorney General of the United States
U.S. Department of Justice
950 Pennsylvania Avenue NW
Washington, D.C. 20530

Re: United States v. Eric Adams, 24 Cr. 556 (DEH)
Dear Attorney General Bondi:
On February 10, 2025, I received a memorandum from acting Deputy Attorney General
Emil Bove, directing me to dismiss the indictment against Mayor Eric Adams without prejudice, subject to certain conditions, which would require leave of court. I do not repeat here the evidence against Adams that proves beyond a reasonable doubt that he committed federal crimes; Mr. Bove rightly has never called into question that the case team conducted this investigation with integrity and that the charges against Adams are serious and supported by fact and law. Mr. Bove’s memo, however, which directs me to dismiss an indictment returned by a duly constituted grand jury for
reasons having nothing to do with the strength of the case, raises serious concerns that render the contemplated dismissal inconsistent with my ability and duty to prosecute federal crimes without fear or favor and to advance good-faith arguments before the courts.

When I took my oath of office three weeks ago, I vowed to well and faithfully discharge
the duties of the office on which I was about to enter. In carrying out that responsibility, I am guided by, among other things, the Principles of Federal Prosecution set forth in the Justice Manual and your recent memoranda instructing attorneys for the Department of Justice to make only good faith arguments and not to use the criminal enforcement authority of the United States to achieve political objectives or other improper aims. I am also guided by the values that have defined my over ten years of public service. You and I have yet to meet, let alone discuss this case. But as you
may know, I clerked for the Honorable J. Harvie Wilkinson III on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and for Justice Antonin Scalia on the U.S. Supreme Court. Both men instilled in me a sense of duty to contribute to the public good and uphold the rule of law, and a commitment to reasoned and thorough analysis. I have always considered it my obligation to pursue justice impartially, without favor to the wealthy or those who occupy important public office, or harsher treatment for the less powerful.

I therefore deem it necessary to the faithful discharge of my duties to raise the concerns expressed in this letter with you and to request an opportunity to meet to discuss them further. I cannot fulfill my obligations, effectively lead my office in carrying out the Department’s priorities,

Page 2

or credibly represent the Government before the courts, if I seek to dismiss the Adams case on this record.
A. The Government Does Not Have a Valid Basis To Seek Dismissal
Mr. Bove’s memorandum identifies two grounds for the contemplated dismissal. I cannot advance either argument in good faith. As you know, the Government “may, with leave of court, dismiss an indictment” under Federal Rule of Criminal Procedure 48(a). “The principal object of the ‘leave of court’ requirement is apparently to protect a defendant against prosecutorial harassment, e.g., charging, dismissing, and recharging, when the Government moves to dismiss an indictment over the defendant’s objection.” Rinaldi v. United States, 434 U.S. 22, 30 n.15 (1977).
“But the Rule has also been held to permit the court to deny a Government dismissal motion to which the defendant has consented if the motion is prompted by considerations clearly contrary to the public interest.” Id.; see also JM § 9-2.050 (reflecting Department’s position that a “court may decline leave to dismiss if the manifest public interest requires it”). The reasons advanced by Mr. Bove for dismissing the indictment are not ones I can in good faith defend as in the public interest and as consistent with the principles of impartiality and fairness that guide my decision-making. First, Mr. Bove proposes dismissing the charges against Adams in return for his assistance in enforcing the federal immigration laws, analogizing to the prisoner exchange in which the United States freed notorious Russian arms dealer Victor Bout in return for an American prisoner in Russia. Such an exchange with Adams violates commonsense beliefs in the equal administration of justice, the Justice Manual, and the Rules of Professional Conduct. The “commitment to the rule of law is nowhere more profoundly manifest” than in criminal justice. Cheney v. United States
Dist. Ct., 542 U.S. 367, 384 (2004) (alterations and citation omitted). Impartial enforcement of the law is the bedrock of federal prosecutions. See Robert H. Jackson, The Federal Prosecutor, 24 J. Am. Jud. Soc’y 18 (1940). As the Justice Manual has long recognized, “the rule of law depends upon the evenhanded administration of justice. The legal judgments of the Department of Justice must be impartial and insulated from political influence.” JM § 1-8.100. But Adams has argued in substance—and Mr. Bove appears prepared to concede—that Adams should receive leniency for
federal crimes solely because he occupies an important public position and can use that position to assist in the Administration’s policy priorities.
Federal prosecutors may not consider a potential defendant’s “political associations,
activities, or beliefs.” Id. § 9-27.260; see also Wayte v. United States, 470 U.S. 598, 608 (1985)
(politically motivated prosecutions violate the Constitution). If a criminal prosecution cannot be used to punish political activity, it likewise cannot be used to induce or coerce such activity. Threatening criminal prosecution even to gain an advantage in civil litigation is considered misconduct for an attorney. See, e.g., D.C. Bar Ethics Opinion 339; ABA Criminal Justice Standard 3-1.6 (“A prosecutor should not use other improper considerations, such as partisan or political or personal considerations, in exercising prosecutorial discretion.”). In your words, “the Department of Justice will not tolerate abuses of the criminal justice process, coercive behavior, or other forms of misconduct.” Dismissal of the indictment for no other reason than to influence
Adams’s mayoral decision-making would be all three.

Page 3

The memo suggests that the issue is merely removing an obstacle to Adams’s ability to
assist with federal immigration enforcement, but that does not bear scrutiny. It does not grapple with the differential treatment Adams would receive compared to other elected officials, much less other criminal defendants. And it is unclear why Adams would be better able to aid in immigration enforcement when the threat of future conviction is due to the possibility of reinstatement of the indictment followed by conviction at trial, rather than merely the possibility of conviction at trial.
On this point, the possibility of trial before or after the election cannot be relevant, because Adams has selected the timing of his trial.
Rather than be rewarded, Adams’s advocacy should be called out for what it is: an improper offer of immigration enforcement assistance in exchange for a dismissal of his case. Although Mr. Bove disclaimed any intention to exchange leniency in this case for Adams’s assistance in enforcing federal law,1 that is the nature of the bargain laid bare in Mr. Bove’s memo. That is especially so given Mr. Bove’s comparison to the Bout prisoner exchange, which was quite expressly a quid pro quo, but one carried out by the White House, and not the prosecutors in charge of Bout’s case.
The comparison to the Bout exchange is particularly alarming. That prisoner swap was an exchange of official acts between separate sovereigns (the United States and Russia), neither of which had any claim that the other should obey its laws. By contrast, Adams is an American citizen, and a local elected official, who is seeking a personal benefit—immunity from federal laws to which he is undoubtedly subject—in exchange for an act—enforcement of federal law—he has no right to refuse. Moreover, the Bout exchange was a widely criticized sacrifice of a valid American interest (the punishment of an infamous arms dealer) which Russia was able to extract only through a patently selective prosecution of a famous American athlete.

2 It is difficult to imagine that the Department wishes to emulate that episode by granting Adams leverage over it akin to Russia’s influence in international affairs. It is a breathtaking and dangerous precedent to reward Adams’s opportunistic and shifting commitments on immigration and other policy matters with dismissal of a criminal indictment. Nor will a court likely find that such an improper exchange
is consistent with the public interest. See United States v. N.V. Nederlandsche Combinatie Voor Chemische Industrie (“Nederlandsche Combinatie”), 428 F. Supp. 114, 116-17 (S.D.N.Y. 1977)
(denying Government’s motion to dismiss where Government had agreed to dismiss charges against certain defendants in exchange for guilty pleas by others); cf. In re United States, 345 F.3d 450, 453 (7th Cir. 2003) (describing a prosecutor’s acceptance of a bribe as a clear example of a dismissal that should not be granted as contrary to the public interest).

I attended a meeting on January 31, 2025, with Mr. Bove, Adams’s counsel, and members of my office. Adams’s attorneys repeatedly urged what amounted to a quid pro quo, indicating that Adams would be in a position to assist with the Department’s enforcement priorities only if the indictment were dismissed. Mr. Bove admonished a member of my team who took notes during that meeting and directed the collection of those notes at the meeting’s conclusion. 2 See, e.g., https://thehill.com/homenews/3767785-trump-pans-prisoner-swap-brittney-grinerhates-our-country/.

Page 4

Second, Mr. Bove states that dismissal is warranted because of the conduct of this office’s former U.S. Attorney, Damian Williams, which, according to Mr. Bove’s memo, constituted weaponization of government as defined by the relevant orders of the President and the Department. The generalized concerns expressed by Mr. Bove are not a basis to dismiss an indictment returned by a duly constituted grand jury, at least where, as here, the Government has no doubt in its evidence or the integrity of its investigation. As Mr. Bove’s memo acknowledges, and as he stated in our meeting of January 31, 2025, the Department has no concerns about the conduct or integrity of the line prosecutors who investigated and charged this case, and it does not question the merits of the case itself. Still, it bears emphasis that I have only known the line prosecutors on this case to act with integrity and in the pursuit of justice, and nothing I have learned since becoming U.S. Attorney has demonstrated otherwise. If anything, I have learned that Mr. Williams’s role in the investigation and oversight
of this case was even more minimal than I had assumed. The investigation began before Mr. Williams took office, he did not manage the day-to-day investigation, and the charges in this case were recommended or approved by four experienced career prosecutors, the Chiefs of the SDNY Public Corruption Unit, and career prosecutors at the Public Integrity Section of the Justice
Department. Mr. Williams’s decision to ratify their recommendations does not taint the charging decision. And notably, Adams has not brought a vindictive or selective prosecution motion, nor would one be successful. See United States v. Stewart, 590 F.3d 93, 121-23 (2d Cir. 2009); cf. United States v. Biden, 728 F. Supp. 3d 1054, 1092 (C.D. Cal. 2024) (rejecting argument that political public statements disturb the “‘presumption of regularity’ that attaches to prosecutorialdecisions”).
Regarding the timing of the indictment, the decision to charge in September 2024—nine
months before the June 2025 Democratic Mayoral Primary and more than a year before the November 2025 Mayoral Election—complied in every respect with longstanding Department policy regarding election year sensitivities and the applicable Justice Manual provisions. The Justice Manual requires that when investigative steps and charges involving a public official could be seen as affecting an election the prosecuting office must consult with the Public Integrity Section, and, if directed to do so, the Office of the Deputy Attorney General or Attorney General. See JM §§ 9-85.210, 9-85.500. As you are aware, this office followed this requirement. Further, the Justice Department’s concurrence was unquestionably consistent with the established policies of the Public Integrity Section. See, e.g., Public Integrity Section, Federal Prosecution of Election
Offenses 85 (2017) (pre-election action may be appropriate where “it is possible to both complete an investigation and file criminal charges against an offender prior to the period immediately before an election”). The Department of Justice correctly concluded that bringing charges nine months before a primary election was entirely appropriate.
The timing of the charges in this case is also consistent with charging timelines of other
cases involving elected officials, both in this District and elsewhere. See, e.g., United States v. Robert Menendez, 23 Cr. 490 (SHS) (S.D.N.Y.) (indictment in September 2023); United States v. Duncan Hunter, 18 Cr. 3677 (S.D. Cal.) (indictment in August 2018). I am not aware of any instance in which the Department has concluded that an indictment brought this far in advance of an election is improper because it may be pending during an electoral cycle, let alone that a validly returned and factually supported indictment should be dismissed on this basis.

Page 5

When first setting the trial date, the District Court and the parties agreed on the importance of completing the trial before the upcoming mayoral election—including before the Democratic primary in which Adams is a candidate—so that the voters would know how the case resolved before casting their votes. (See Dkt. 31 at 38-44). Adams has decided that he would prefer the trial to take place before rather than after the June 2025 primary, notwithstanding the burden trial preparation would place on his ability to govern the City or campaign for re-election. But that is his choice, and the District Court has made clear that Adams is free to seek a continuance. (See Dkt. 113 at 18 n.6). The parties therefore cannot argue with candor that dismissing serious charges
before an election, but holding open the possibility that those charges could be reinstated if Adams were re-elected, would now be other than “clearly contrary to the manifest public interest.” United States v. Blaszczak, 56 F.4th 230, 238-39 (2d Cir. 2022) (internal quotation marks omitted).
Mr. Bove’s memo also refers to recent public actions by Mr. Williams. It is not my role to
defend Mr. Williams’s motives or conduct. Given the appropriate chronology of this investigation and the strength of the case, Mr. Williams’s conduct since leaving government service cannot justify dismissal here. With respect to pretrial publicity, the District Court has already determined that Mr. Williams’s statements have not prejudiced the jury pool. The District Court has also repeatedly explained that there is no evidence that any leaks to the media came from the prosecution team—although there is evidence media leaks came from the defense team—and no basis for any relief. (See Dkt. 103 at 3-6; Dkt. 49 at 4-21). Mr. Williams’s recent op-ed, the Court
concluded, generally talks about bribery in New York State, and so is not a comment on the case. (Dkt. 103 at 6 n.5). Mr. Williams’s website does not even reference Adams except in the news articles linked there. (See Dkt. 99 at 3). And it is well settled that the U.S. Attorneys in this and other districts regularly conduct post-arrest press conferences. See United States v. Avenatti, 433 F. Supp. 3d 552, 567-69 (S.D.N.Y. 2020) (describing the practice); see also, e.g., “New Jersey U.S. Attorney’s Office press conference on violent crime,”
YouTube,
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oAEDHQCE91A (announcing criminal charges against 42 defendants). In short, because there is in fact nothing about this prosecution that meaningfully differs from other cases that generate substantial pretrial publicity, a court is likely to view the weaponization rationale as pretextual.
Moreover, dismissing the case will amplify, rather than abate, concerns about
weaponization of the Department. Despite Mr. Bove’s observation that the directive to dismiss the case has been reached without assessing the strength of the evidence against Adams, Adams has already seized on the memo to publicly assert that he is innocent and that the accusations against him were unsupported by the evidence and based only on “fanfare and sensational claims.”
Confidence in the Department would best be restored by means well short of a dismissal. As you know, our office is prepared to seek a superseding indictment from a new grand jury under my leadership. We have proposed a superseding indictment that would add an obstruction conspiracy count based on evidence that Adams destroyed and instructed others to destroy evidence and provide false information to the FBI, and that would add further factual allegations regarding his participation in a fraudulent straw donor scheme.
That is more than enough to address any perception of impropriety created by Mr.
Williams’s personal conduct. The Bove memo acknowledges as much, leaving open the possibilityof refiling charges after the November 2025 New York City Mayoral Election.

Page 6

Nor is conditioning the dismissal on the incoming U.S. Attorney’s ability to re-assess the charges consistent with either the weaponization rationale or the law concerning motions under Rule 48(a). To the contrary, keeping Adams under the threat of prosecution while the Government determines its next steps is a recognized reason for the denial of a Rule 48(a) motion. See United States v. Poindexter, 719 F.
Supp. 6, 11-12 (D.D.C. 1989) (allowing Government to “to keep open the option of trying [certain] counts” would effectively keep the defendant “under public obloquy for an indefinite period of time until the government decided that, somehow, for some reason, the time had become more propitious for proceeding with a trial”).
B.
Adams’s Consent Will Not Aid the Department’s Arguments
Mr. Bove specifies that Adams must consent in writing to dismissal without prejudice. To be sure, in the typical case, the defendant’s consent makes it significantly more likely for courts to grant motions to dismiss under Rule 48(a). See United States v. Welborn, 849 F.2d 980, 983 (5th Cir. 1988) (“If the motion is uncontested, the court should ordinarily presume that the prosecutor is acting in good faith and dismiss the indictment without prejudice.”). But Adams’s consent—which was negotiated without my office’s awareness or participation—would not guarantee a successful motion, given the basic flaws in the stated rationales for dismissal. See Nederlandsche Combinatie, 428 F. Supp. at 116-17 (declining to “rubber stamp” dismissal because although
defendant did not appear to object, “the court is vested with the responsibility of protecting the interests of the public on whose behalf the criminal action is brought”). Seeking leave of court to dismiss a properly returned indictment based on Mr. Bove’s stated rationales is also likely to backfire by inviting skepticism and scrutiny from the court that will ultimately hinder the Department of Justice’s interests. In particular, the court is unlikely to acquiesce in using the criminal process to control the behavior of a political figure.
A brief review of the relevant law demonstrates this point. Although the judiciary “[r]arely will . . . overrule the Executive Branch’s exercise of these prosecutorial decisions,” Blaszczak, 56 F.4th at 238, courts, including the Second Circuit, will nonetheless inquire as to whether dismissal would be clearly contrary to the public interest. See, e.g., id. at 238-42 (extended discussion of contrary to public interest standard and cases applying it); see also JM § 9-2.050 (requiring “a written motion for leave to dismiss . . . explaining fully the reason for the request” to dismiss for
cases of public interest as well as for cases involving bribery). At least one court in our district has rejected a dismissal under Rule 48(a) as contrary to the public interest, regardless of the defendant’s consent. See Nederlandsche Combinatie, 428 F. Supp. at 116-17 (“After reviewing the entire record, the court has determined that a dismissal of the indictment against Mr. Massaut is not in the public interest. Therefore, the government’s motion to dismiss as to Mr. Massaut must be and is denied.”). The assigned District Judge, the Honorable Dale E. Ho, appears likely to conduct a searching inquiry in this case. Notably, Judge Ho stressed transparency during this case,
specifically explaining his strict requirements for non-public filings at the initial conference. (See Dkt. 31 at 48-49). And a rigorous inquiry here would be consistent with precedent and practice inthis and other districts.
Nor is there any realistic possibility that Adams’s consent will prevent a lengthy judicial
inquiry that is detrimental to the Department’s reputation, regardless of outcome. In that regard,

although the Flynn case may come to mind as a comparator, it is distinct in one important way. In that case, the Government moved to dismiss an indictment with the defendant’s consent and faced resistance from a skeptical district judge. But in Flynn, the Government sought dismissal with prejudice because it had become convinced that there was insufficient evidence that General Flynn had committed any crime. That ultimately made the Government’s rationale defensible, because
“[i]nsufficient evidence is a quintessential justification for dismissing charges.” In re Flynn, 961F.3d 1215, 1221 (D.C. Cir.), reh’g en banc granted, order vacated, No. 20-5143, 2020 WL 4355389 (D.C. Cir. July 30, 2020), and on reh’g en banc, 973 F.3d 74 (D.C. Cir. 2020). Here no one in the Department has expressed any doubts as to Adams’s guilt, and even in Flynn, the President ultimately chose to cut off the extended and embarrassing litigation over dismissal by granting a pardon.
C.
I Cannot in Good Faith Request the Contemplated Dismissal
Because the law does not support a dismissal, and because I am confident that Adams has committed the crimes with which he is charged, I cannot agree to seek a dismissal driven by improper considerations. As Justice Robert Jackson explained, “the prosecutor at his best is one of the most beneficent forces in our society, when he acts from malice or other base motives, he is one of the worst.” The Federal Prosecutor, 24 J. Am. Jud. Soc’y 18 (“This authority has been granted by people who really wanted the right thing done—wanted crime eliminated—but also wanted the best in our American traditions preserved.”). I understand my duty as a prosecutor to mean enforcing the law impartially, and that includes prosecuting a validly returned indictment regardless whether its dismissal would be politically advantageous, to the defendant or to those
who appointed me. A federal prosecutor “is the representative not of an ordinary party to a controversy, but of a sovereignty whose obligation to govern impartially is as compelling as its obligation to govern at all.” Berger v. United States, 295 U.S. 78, 88 (1935).
For the reasons explained above, I do not believe there are reasonable arguments in support of a Rule 48(a) motion to dismiss a case that is well supported by the evidence and the law. I understand that Mr. Bove disagrees, and I am mindful of your recent order reiterating prosecutors’ duty to make good-faith arguments in support of the Executive Branch’s positions. See Feb. 5, 2025 Mem. “General Policy Regarding Zealous Advocacy on Behalf of the United States.” But because I do not see any good-faith basis for the proposed position, I cannot make such arguments consistent with my duty of candor. N.Y.R.P.C. 3.3; id. cmt. 2 (“A lawyer acting as an advocate in an adjudicative proceeding has an obligation to present the client’s case with persuasive force.
Performance of that duty while maintaining confidences of the client, however, is qualified by the advocate’s duty of candor to the tribunal.”).
In particular, the rationale given by Mr. Bove—an exchange between a criminal defendant and the Department of Justice akin to the Bout exchange with Russia—is, as explained above, a bargain that a prosecutor should not make. Moreover, dismissing without prejudice and with the express option of again indicting Adams in the future creates obvious ethical problems, by implicitly threatening future prosecution if Adams’s cooperation with enforcing the immigration laws proves unsatisfactory to the Department. See In re Christoff, 690 N.E.2d 1135 (Ind. 1997)
(disciplining prosecutor for threatening to renew a dormant criminal investigation against a potential candidate for public office in order to dissuade the candidate from running); Bruce A.

Green & Rebecca Roiphe, Who Should Police Politicization of the DOJ?, 35 Notre Dame J.L. Ethics & Pub. Pol’y 671, 681 (2021) (noting that the Arizona Supreme Court disbarred the elected chief prosecutor of Maricopa County, Arizona, and his deputy, in part, for misusing their power to advance the chief prosecutor’s partisan political interests). Finally, given the highly generalized accusations of weaponization, weighed against the strength of the evidence against Adams, a court will likely question whether that basis is pretextual. See, e.g., United States v. Greater Blouse, Skirt & Neckwear Contractors, 228 F. Supp. 483, 487 (S.D.N.Y. 1964) (courts “should be satisfied that the reasons advanced for the proposed dismissal are substantial and the real grounds upon which the application is based”).

I remain baffled by the rushed and superficial process by which this decision was reached, in seeming collaboration with Adams’s counsel and without my direct input on the ultimate stated rationales for dismissal. Mr. Bove admonished me to be mindful of my obligation to zealously defend the interests of the United States and to advance good-faith arguments on behalf of the Administration. I hope you share my view that soliciting and considering the concerns of the U.S. Attorney overseeing the case serves rather than hinders that goal, and that we can find time to meet.

In the event you are unwilling to meet or to reconsider the directive in light of the problems raised by Mr. Bove’s memo, I am prepared to offer my resignation. It has been, and continues to be, my honor to serve as a prosecutor in the Southern District of New York.

Very truly yours,

DANIELLE R. SASSOON
United States Attorney
Southern District of New York

I did the best I could to format this similar to the original. The words ARE the original words. Ms. Sassoon is now in my “conservatives hall of fame” right next to Liz Cheney.

HERE is Emil Bove’s bizzare response to Ms. Sassoon

The DAMAGE Trump/Musk are inflicting – globally as well as in America – could take generations to overcome!

While driving home from an appointment today (in my Polestar which I call the “Tesla without the Musk) after Trump was finished talking about Judges (who actually expect him to follow the constitution) he turned the mike over to, you guessed it, Musk. And, before I get too far here the only way I can explain what was coming out fo Musk’s mouth is to say he’s full of dogeshit! A great example of someone who might be good at something irrelevant to the subject he’s choosing to broach who feels comfortable looking into a camera with a nationwide coverage and spewing PURE garbage.

Musk stood right next to Trump – further suggesting he’s the “co-president” – (in fact he was standing OVER Trump) complaining about our democracy and suggesting our elected representatives “don’t have the power to decide.” My question, other than what the hell is he talking about, is where does Elon Musk get off deciding if our “representatives have the power to decide?” He’s talking, of course, about the so-called $2 TRILLION in “fraud” which needs to be cut from our budget – according to him – notwithstanding THAT’S the role of those elected representatives who actually DO “have the power to decide.” It appears the problem, from Musk’s point of view, is he doesn’t agree with how they “decide.”

What is it he’s REALLY talking about? He doesn’t want those pesky judges or, worse than that, “liberals” telling him what he can and cannot do to our government (more especially, his businesses) – which has been FUNDED by Congress with appropriations that, LEGALLY, are already obligated. What he’s UNABLE to understand (or refusing to do so) is that what he’s attempting to do – he’s got a 19 year old kid with the online moniker of “BIG BALLS” rooting through the data of people like, well, ME, is ILLEGAL! I really don’t want either Musk or “BIG BALLS” to have my Social Security number, my Medicare number, my bank information, or ANYTHING else of MINE! It’s NONE of their damn business!

But, as usual with republicans, it always keeps getting worse. Musk is LYING to all those unsuspecting MAGA faithful – many of whom he TRICKED into voting for Trump – saying our nation has become a “bureaucracy” instead of a “democracy” because of all these “unelected bureaucrats” in the fourth branch of our constitution. That’s complete dogeshit! Of course, that’s exactly why I’m calling what’s coming out of his mouth “dogeshit.” He complains these “bureaucrats” are “unresponsive to the people.” Oh, where to start?

Here’s a bit of a civics lesson to Musk (and, at 77 I can’t remember everything I’ve studied in the past, but, I digress). There ARE actually THREE branches – co-equal branches – of our government. The “unelected bureaucrats” are largely under the purview of the executive branch. “Rooting out” any “waste fraud or abuse” is supposed to be carried out by the Inspector Generals of each agency. Of course, you know this if you’ve paid any attention to Trump’s first few weeks assaulting our government, Trump FIRED, in essence, ALL of the Inspector Generals shortly after taking the oath of office. ILLEGALLY! Presumably to be able to HIDE the FRAUD the Dogeshits are implementing as I’m writing this.

Musk also made it a point to complain about the deficit and lament how it’s driving America toward “bankruptcy” with the ONLY solution (in his, apparently, autistic mind) being having the Dogeshits cutting appropriations ILLEGALLY – and FIRING bureaucrats they have NO legal right to FIRE. Here’s what Musk didn’t say, when it comes to his complaint about the budget deficit. He pays literally NO income taxes – keeping in mind his “fortune” has expanded, by some accounts, close to $200 BILLION since the election! If you have been paying attention that’s in about 3 months. And, he still doesn’t feel an obligation to “pay his fair share.” (As an aside – Warren Buffet, who pays “his fair share,” said if the 800 or so BILLIONAIRES in America paid their ACTUAL taxes the deficit issue would go away – or words to that affect)

But, of course, there’s more – there’s always more. Musk has ALREADY managed to fire the people in the agency USAID (the US Agency for International Development) – people doing “God’s work” around the globe – but, an agency which was investigating Musk’s Starlink satellite system – well, how do you get rid of that annoyance? Get rid of the agency. A few million people dying around the world because of this outrageous move? So be it – in the eyes of someone as brazen as Musk. (Musk had claimed USAID has sent $50 MILLION worth of condoms to GAZA – erroneously – a better word, DISHONESTLY)

Regarding Musk, there’s a lot more. He has his “fingers,” into approximately 17 different agencies where he’s pulling in something like $3 BILLION yearly from “we the people” in federal contracts. He doesn’t seem to think there could be ANY “waste fraud and abuse” in any of his contracts – despite the FACT the day Trump took office there were an almost impossible to pinpoint number of investigations into Musk’s various businesses – soon to be none. Apparently, the taxes being spent (like from me) for all his contracts are OK! Nice work if you can get it. But, do you really believe Musk is some kind of “rule follower?” Plllease!

For example, there are WERE numerous safety investigation into Tesla – Musk’s most notable company. (And, by the way, I’m encouraging people to REFUSE to purchase one of Musk’s cars – there are LOTS of good BETTER alternatives.) Space X and Xwitter are WERE facing numerous investigations which are now “gone.” For heaven’s sake, Space X just launched a rocket which EXPLODED shortly after takeoff spewing rocket parts across a large area of the Caribbean putting an untold amount of pollution into the atmosphere around the globe. Is Musk attempting to make sure there’s no investigation of that? Of course he is! Yikes!!! And, trust me, he’s not the only BILLIONAIRE shouting to the rooftops about those pesky government regulations! That’s what they do!

Jeff Bezos, who lost me when he blocked his opinion columnists at the Washington Post (which he owns) from making an endorsement (Kamala Harris) in the 2024 election – I canceled my subscription – Bezos was the first to congratulate Trump after his “victory,” and was one of the fawning BILLIONAIRES crowding as close as they could get to “herr” leader at the inauguration – mentioning his support was based on getting rid of regulations. Now, Bezos is the classic “Robber Baron” who does everything he can to prevent his Amazon workforce from forming unions. In addition, the government – under President Biden – was suing Amazon for it’s monopolistic policies. Here’s the first paragraph from the FTC’s action in 2023:

“The Federal Trade Commission and 17 state attorneys general today sued Amazon.com, Inc. alleging that the online retail and technology company is a monopolist that uses a set of interlocking anticompetitive and unfair strategies to illegally maintain its monopoly power. The FTC and its state partners say Amazon’s actions allow it to stop rivals and sellers from lowering prices, degrade quality for shoppers, overcharge sellers, stifle innovation, and prevent rivals from fairly competing against Amazon.” Oh, those pesky regulations! Thanks to the Dogeshits, that suit is gone.

Of course, Mark Zuckerberg was right there with the others lining up to kiss Trump’s (and Musk’s) ass(es). The FTC has been after all three of them for their business practices which, according to the FTC, are anti-competitive. And, to that I say, “Duh!” Has anyone besides me wondered why there hasn’t been more scrutiny on Zuckerberg who responds to competition by buying it? And, why? Well, largely because (now) Meta (then Facebook) has the money to do so. So, why not? Ask yourself, how did this college dropout get so much money? OK, that was rhetorical. (I keep wondering, “how much money do these BILLIONAIRES need?”)

Google’s CEO Sundar Pichai was right there fawning over our fuhrer as he took the oath – with his hand hanging by his side as he refused to put it on the Bible – curious to me. Like the other alleged monopolies the FTC sued Google for antitrust violations and, in this case, actually a jury found Google with several violations. Their remedy is a “donation” payment of a cool MILLION and, likely, the problem goes away after an appeal which the DOJ won’t pursue. These are just the outrageous issues I’m aware of off the top of my head. I can’t respond regarding the oil execs who Trump made promises to if they gave his campaign a $1 BILLION. Somehow all those MAGA faithful either didn’t notice that or, sadly, are OK with it.

As I’m writing this there is a distinct possibility that MILLIONS of some of the poorest people around the globe will be/are DYING because of the Dogeshits blocking USAID. Apparently, until the grief starts hitting “home” the (what some people are calling) MAGAts will be OK with whatever Trump (and Musk) decides to do. Today, I listened to Trump, in essence, accusing Ukraine of starting the war with Russia. And, some wonder why I use the term STUPID. The sad reality is Trump very well could be leading Europe into the next WW by appeasing Putin just like Chamberlain appeased Hitler back in the 30’s. And, of course, that would mean the U.S. would have to take sides – and, honestly, with Trump in the “White House” I shudder to think of what the answer would be.

Trump/Musk are accomplishing what Steve Bannon – argued by some as America’s top Neo-Nazi – as the deconstruction of the “administrative state” – also the goal of Project 2025 – what I’ve called the “roadmap to fascism.” This movement towards fascism has been obvious to me since, well – when I really think about it – since the days of the “Tea Party” – although I’ve been publicly calling it out since Trump’s first reign on our nation. Trump 2.0 came in with the total backing of the Project 2025 whack jobs and they’ve hit the ground running – attempting to brush off a deluge of court defeats (remind you of anything?) – and the DAMAGE they’re inflicting – around the globe as well as here at home – could take generations to overcome.

Final Thought: In reality, this move to the far right in America started back in the early 1970’s from what I can tell. Between Milton Friedman and his “free market” propaganda and Lewis Powell and his “memo to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce” America’s corporate interests began a 50 year push to create a corporate structure that was aligned with the politicians willing to do their bidding and along with the lack of sophistication of “we the people” (including ME) our government has, in essence, merged with the multi-national corporations and the BILLIONAIRE CEO’s to create what has amounted to what Hitler failed to accomplish back in the 30’s and 40’s. And, trust me, Trump’s going to get more and more “full of himself” (if that’s possible) because he really likes the feeling of unlimited POWER and some of the people supporting him now will be saying, “what have I done?”

Explaining (my version of) what has brought this upon us all – is complicated. Trying to figure out what can be done about it, is even more complicated. Myself, as a die hard optimist (who’s not feeling at all optimistic, at this point) wants to think we just hold our collective breath until the elections of 2026 where we simply vote in a plethora of democrats who do IMPEACHMENT #3 and pray for enough Senators to vote to convict (including in the IMPEACHMENT,of course, JD Vance).

But, naturally, that’s a “pipe dream.” One thing today’s Senators have PROVEN is they’re scared to death of Trump. So, I’m certainly feeling, from my standpoint, there’s NOTHING I can do. However here’s what I’m NOT going to do – whether I’m stupid or not – several people I know are doing descending into the world of apathy. Hey, we now live in a fascist country – but, who cares. I hope not too many people can allow themselves into that space.

I pointed out when democrats turned on Joe Biden (due to a bad debate performance while Trump’s performance was WORSE – unless you’re OK with the LYING) they were, in essence, electing Trump. The issue should NEVER have been Joe Biden’s age – everyone knew how old he is (they were BOTH too old) – he was doing a fine job of “running the government” – the issue was ALWAYS “Trump is a fascist, he’s a FELON, he’s been adjudicated as a sexual predator, he’s been LYING his entire life, and he’s still facing over 50 FELONY charges. Plus he’s affiliated with Project 2025 which anyone could have read.” But, democrats have ALWAYS lost the messaging debate as far back as I can remember – President Obama came the closest to overcoming that – and Trump is the perfect LIAR for the republicans. Now, we’re stuck with Trump/Musk for four LONG years!

Is Trump trying to out-do Vladimir Putin? Or, simply be like him?

How subtle does Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and the Dogeshits have to get before it begins to sink in to ANY American who’s not part of the white nationalist movement? It was announced today that Trump wants to make an IMMIGRATION exception for “White South Africans.” Yep, you read that correctly! Do you think the head of the Dogeshits had anything to do with that? Or, should I phrase that as our co-president? Republicans ALWAYS eventually say the “quiet part out loud.”

What we’re witnessing is what, so far, can be called a “bloodless coup.” Trump is flashing one executive order after another at a pace nearly impossible to keep up with while Elon Musk and the Dogeshits (sorry, but I can’t think of a better description) are rooting around in our personal data like my neighbors three (little) pigs which he keeps in a fenced off area which likely looks like the records of the American people – and, if you’ve ever witnessed the handy work of a small band of pigs you know exactly what I’m talking about. They’re making a HUGE mess and it may be impossible, at this point already, to clean it up.

Add to that, the Senate, last night, confirmed Project 2025 lead author Russel Vought, with nary a “whimper” coming from those COWARDS who’ve been caucusing as republicans since the day in 2016 when almost EVERY one of them decided it was more important to keep their job than to stand up for the republic they ostensibly work for and took an oath to defend. And, when I call them COWARDS, let me emphasize the word COWARDS! Of course, when it comes to Mitch McConnell I’ll call him the SLEAZIEST COWARD of them all – because, when it comes right down to it, Trump is counting on those right wing COWARDS on the SCOTUS – two of whom McConnell is directly responsible for – to make it so he can, with impunity, ignore court orders to get his way – with the rest of us. In essence, I’ve always felt the SCOTUS ceded their power to Trump when they gave him “absolute immunity.” Yikes!!

It’s Vought who already attempted to shut down ALL spending by government agencies – spending lawfully appropriated by Congress – and is likely to do so again – despite the orders coming from various courts. In his confirmation hearing Vought came right out and said he feels no obligation to follow the laws relating to OMB’s (his agency, now) ability to IMPOUND government funds which have been authorized by Congress and, therefore, MUST be spent according to that authorization according to the Congressional Budget and Impoundment Control Act of 1974. Back when Richard Nixon was making similar claims to Trump and Vought that the president can determine how to spend or not spend the appropriations of Congress – well, Congress made it clear – THEY have the “power of the purse.”

Now, in his confirmation hearing Vought simply claimed he didn’t recognize that act as “being constitutional.” That’s despite the FACT it was duly passed through Congress – and, I know you won’t believe this – but, back then bipartisan legislation wasn’t unusual. Here’s the deal, if the president doesn’t like the way Congress is appropriating funding, he simply needs to lobby Congress to “fix the problem” by repealing it. In the case of Trump, he’s got a majority in BOTH houses of Congress (there’s a person who sometimes comments here who doesn’t understand BOTH the House and the Senate make up Congress – but, I digress) all he needs to do is to get each House of Congress to vote to repeal whatever legislation he doesn’t like and then sign the bill. But, of course, Trump would rather – like his MO would suggest – do it ILLEGALLY. Must make him feel important – or something.

As I pointed out around the first day in office, Trump (and his project 2025 sycophants) was going to “flood the zone” with so many executive orders it would be nearly impossible to keep up with all of them – so, while “we the people” are busy “chasing our tails” him and people like Vought are sneaking through “stuff” we won’t be aware of until it’s too late. Even Trump had to know ending “birthright citizenship” with an executive order wouldn’t “fly.” However, he also KNEW democrats would expend a LOT of legal capital challenging it in court. Illegally shutting down the governments payment system, he knew, would spawn a lot of lawsuits while he’s busy with other “stuff.”

Here’s a doozy. Do you really think the USA is going to be creating “the Riviera of the Middle East” in GAZA? Do you think Trump felt it would be received like he suggested, “Everybody thinks it’s a great idea?” Maybe I should rephrase that – is it possible he REALLY believes “everybody thinks it’s a great idea?” Many people have accused him of being delusional. Of course, Bibi Netanyahu was standing right next to him when he said it to the press and, OF COURSE, Netanyahu thinks it’s a great idea. Trump said, “we’d own it.” And, for Netanyahu, what could be a better outcome.

Here’s where I think that idea might come across a bit of a problem. Do the Palestinians really want to “give” the USA what little land they have next? And, of course, Trump also wants to give Israel the West Bank. As the saying goes, what could possibly go wrong. Back when the Palestinian community in Michigan was encouraging people to NOT vote for President Biden, and then, Vice President Harris – was this the outcome they were hoping for? It was obvious to me – and, of course, I’m not Palestinian, that the Palestinian Americans couldn’t have a WORST choice for president than Trump. But. here. we. are.

What about all those young Americans who voted for Trump because he said he was going to “bring down the price of eggs ON DAY 1? Did they actually believe that? Did they do ANY research about Trump at all? Like, does he tell the truth? (As a starter point) Or, how about – what control does the president actually have over the price of eggs? Or, maybe the more sophisticated among them might have checked, what caused the post pandemic inflation and did Biden and the democrats do ANYTHING to mitigate it? I realize that last one creates – not “Critical Race Theory” – but, just old fashioned CRITICAL thinking – like what I used to teach the sixth graders in my class.

I tried to get people to read Project 2025 well before the election. I downloaded a copy and read the intro and about 100 pages and as I said at the time it was/is a “roadmap to fascism.” I left links to the document several times, although the last time I logged in to link to the document I was forced to give my email (I was too stupid to make one up) and said, here, I would no longer provide the link. The result of that foo-pah for me is that I’m still being FLOODED with Trump emails begging me for money. I actually filled out the “questionnaire” which was the front for the money – thinking, I’ll let him know what I actually think. However, you couldn’t submit your answers without sending him MONEY – which, in my case wasn’t going to happen.

These Trump emails are quite sophisticated. It’s set up so that when you send him MONEY you don’t know that you’re really agreeing to do it over and over again. Every month. It shouldn’t surprise me that EVERYTHING Trump does is dishonest. Count me as one of the pesky Christians who expect at least a modicum of honesty – something which has ALWAYS been impossible for Trump and NOW is, apparently, requirement #1 to be a member of his administration. And, of course, republicans in Congress shredded their oaths to the constitution LONG ago.

Now the “battle” is in the courts and, a few weeks ago I asked the question; “what’s going to happen when Trump and Musk and his administration tell the courts to fuck off.” (Once again, sorry for the language, but I couldn’t think of a more appropriate word) I believe we’re dangerously close to that point – maybe there already by the time I publish this rant – I heard this morning one judge already has instructed Trump’s minions the next step will be criminal contempt of court if they continue to ignore the injunction he imposed last week. An, injunction which will only last until they have the actual arguments in court from “both sides.” As many have said, as soon as Trump challenges the courts to enforce an injunction we are no longer a constitutional republic.

I’ve been involved in dialogue with several people who are part of Trump’s CULT lately, mostly outside of this blog, but in almost every instance what I’m running into is STUPIDITY which comes from right wing propaganda embedded into people’s minds who get their “information” – well, I can only guess where it comes from. One guy told me he watches “Newsmax” and he’s the classic example of someone spewing racist garbage and when you call him on it his response is, “I’m not a racist.” At that point, I have to say then quit regurgitating stuff which is OVERT racism. This person doesn’t understand – I’ll give just a couple examples – that calling “black and brown” immigrants “scum” while lamenting things like “BLM, DEI, CRT” while saying “White Lives Matter” – which he doesn’t understand implies RACISM. That’s the kind of stuff I’m just unable to abide.

From my standpoint, there are way too many Americans who have no idea about how our constitution actually works and they can’t handle that “the wheels of justice are slow.” They actually want Trump to make radical changes to our government, they just don’t seem to understand the result of a president saying he can do “whatever I want.” That’s NOT how our constitution is made. The beauty of “checks and balances” which is the foundational part of the document has stood for OVER 245 years. It’s the document which has allowed America to become the richest most powerful nation on earth. Of course, it’s also allowed America to teeter on the edge of becoming an OLIGARCHY – which the head OLIGARCH Elon Musk is attempting to embed into our future. Virtually EVERY person I’ve been able to dialogue with about all this don’t seem to understand this – OR, worse yet, they’re OK with it. We are losing our constitutional form of government – trading it for fascism.

I “get’ that MANY people think, when I say that, it’s pure hyperbole. Of course, I’ve been pointing out Trump is a fascist since his first reign on America. What lies ahead? I have no idea and, I have to admit, I’ve become impatient with people I know who have simply said, “I’m tired of politics.” Sadly, “politics” affects EVERY aspect of your life. Many seem to be saying, “well, it doesn’t affect me.” But, what will they say when it does – and, by that point it’s too late. Are they going to sit idly by while Trump attempts to takeover Greenland and Panama? GAZA? Is he trying to out-do Vladimir Putin? Or, simply be like him? Stay tuned!!

Final Thought: As I’ve said, this is a coup d’etat in the process as “we the people” sit here watching. I stated above what Trump is saying to the judges who are telling him you don’t get to make up the laws as you wish. Trump, a 34 times FELONY doesn’t seem to be much impressed by these judges. I firmly believe he dreams about his “absolute immunity” via the SCOTUS and doesn’t feel the need to appeal rulings he doesn’t like. Who’s going to stop him? Pam Bondi? Kash Patel? The republican controlled Congress – filled with a bunch of COWARDS? This is going to keep getting uglier until enough Americans have had enough.

Keep in mind – why do you think Trump PARDONED the 1600 thugs who attacked the Capitol and Metro Police on January 6th, 2021 – people he now says are the ones who were “assaulted.” For example, those who were convicted of seditious conspiracy – one of the MOST severe CRIMES on the books – are on the streets just itching for more opportunity for VIOLENCE. Combine this with Musk and his Dogeshits America could be at a breaking point. Musk is simply a South African believer in apartheid who is attempting to kneecap our government so he no longer has to answer for his challenges to our legal and regulatory system. I have to wonder how my acquaintances will respond when Musk has either cut or cut back their Social Security and Medicare benefits? (My peer group is a bunch of old – mostly – white guys. I don’t get out much :o) Lord help us!

Not just Americans but people around the globe SHOULD immediately refuse to buy a Tesla.

Are “we the people” willing to put up a fight to defend our own democratic republic from the Trump/Musk coup?

Back during the 2024 campaign the SCOTUS intervened in the process of Trump’s attempts to avoid accountability for his alleged CRIMES. Not only did they accept the case of the argument he had “absolute immunity” from CRIMES committed while he was in office but they dragged out the process ensuring Trump wouldn’t face a jury until after the election – an election which has allowed Trump to “beat” two of the four cases charged without the American people EVER witnessing the cases brought against him – and, then, to the astonishment of legal observers the SCOTUS actually gave Trump the immunity he was seeking. As the saying goes, “what could possibly go wrong.”

As I often have said here, “if you haven’t taken the time to read Project 2025, you should do so ASAP,” we’re seeing that “manifesto” unfolding in real time. The latest episode – well, one of them (it’s hard to keep up – which is the point) – is the threat to agents at the FBI as they’re asked to fill out questionaires regarding what their individual role was in investigating the CRIMINALS who were convicted of Cop-beating, among other crimes (including Seditious Conspiracy) on January 6th, 2021. Presumably, those who participated in those investigations (maybe 6000 in all) will be terminated.

Here’s my first thought: “These people have protection as career public servants against being dismissed without cause.” So, is investigating what many people consider one of the gravest CRIMES against our constitution – an attempted coup d’etat – going to be considered “cause” by Trump. My guess is there will be a legal challenge to this egregious power grab and, this won’t be the only one, “We the people” are about to get another dose of reality regarding our right wing SCOTUS. The only thing which might surprise me regarding this Court would be if they actually upheld the law – keeping in mind, they’ve instructed Trump any decision he makes is “legal.”

Add to what Trump’s sycophants are doing to the Justice Department/FBI there’s Elon Musk’s right wing band of “DOGE” whack jobs (some reportedly teenagers) bullying their way into the offices of the USAID, the Department of Education, and the Treasurey Department. Actually – and, I’ll say this again – it’s Elon Musk putting people out on the street – FIRING them. Remember, Musk is the South African apartheid “trust baby” (like Trump – only Trump is German) who allegedly came to the U.S. illegally – supposedly as a student (who never went to school) spent close to $300 MILLION to get Trump elected and who flashed a Sieg Heil at Trump’s inauguration celebration. Project 2025 in action. According to some reports, Musk’s fortune has nearly doubled since the election. Nice work if you can get it!

Musk reportedly claimed USAID was full of “left wing Marxists who hate America.” Where does this asshole get off doing this? Simply because he’s rich? The outcome of what he’s doing would indicate he’s the one who “hate’s America.” Shuttering USAID will affect (NEGATIVELY) millions across the globe, some of who are among the poorest people in the world – dependant on food and medicine provided by USAID. We’re talking about the richest man in the world taking food and medicine away from the poorest! Musk has shown himself to be, in the words of Keith Olberman, “The worst person in the world.” Yikes!!!

People will soon begin to understand what’s in the 900 pages of Project 2025 and realize they SHOULD have read it BEFORE the previous election. Trust me, it isn’t Trump writing all these executive orders he’s signing – some of them, as I’ve been pointing out are kind of like a “smokescreen” (OK, I haven’t been using that exact word) to get “we the people’s minds off of what is really their (The puppet masters of Project 2025) objective. For example, I don’t think even Trump believed he could change the constitution with an executive order. (i.e. ending birthright citizenship – although, as I said above, nothing the SCOTUS does, where this absurd claim is headed, surprises me – a couple of the Justices were pro-coup on January 6th, 2021 after all. (Along with their wives!) Was Trump attempting to get “we the people’s” attention off Musk’s rampage through USAID, the Education Department and into the payment system at Treasury? He may already have your’s and mine Social Security numbers.

Ending USAID, ending the Department of Education? – these are simply the beginning of what they have planned. (And, I believe in both cases it’s ILLEGAL) Does Musk believe those overseeing American’s higher education students are “leftists Marxists who hate America?” Over the previous four years it’s been reported by many (of the people I read/listen to) political observers that republicans are – since January 6th, 2021, enacting a “slow moving coup.” Well, we can now take the “slow motion” out of that phrase. (I actually believe this all started in the 1970’s) With UNELECTED Elon Musk as the focal point, the Trump regime is enacting their assault on the varying government institutions with they’ve targeted at an alarming rate. What better way to fuel a government takeover than to dismantle the Department of Education – or, better yet take it over in order to funnel their mis/disinformation to America’s young people.

Just think about this – they’re about to purge an untold number of FBI agents – who, technically SHOULD be investigating this coup d’etat on America’s government. The new Director of the FBI hasn’t even been confirmed yet – OR the Attorney General. (Apparently she was confirmed today, with the blessing of Senator Federman of Pennsylvania – wow!) Do you really believe this will mellow out once they have been confirmed? And, just think about the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) when RFK Jr. gets confirmed. Think of the DAMAGE he can inflict on “we the people.” Do you believe Trump will do a better job when the next pandemic hits? I mean, I will be surprised if HHS is not “stripped” of much of its function by then. There are something like 30 agencies under HHS including NIH (National Institutes of Health) and the Departments of Medicare and Medicaid, the CDC, and FDA among a bunch of others. Do you believe RFK Jr. was picked for his expertise? Which = NONE!

And, Tulsi Gabbard – an alleged Russian “useful idiot” – as the next Director of National Intelligence – overseeing the 18 U.S. organizations which are responsible for the intelligence industry tasked with keeping us safe. Do you really think she was chosen based on her qualifications for the job? Remember, we have a public drunkard and alleged abuser of women – whose major qualification is he was a Fox “news” weekend host – in charge of the military – which Trump has already said he would expect to be used against any protests that might occur based on his unlimited power as the head of our government. (Well, the protests are ramping up!)

Over the past 3 years, many of us have been closely watching, and supporting, Ukraine as their people are putting up a fierce defence of their young democratic nation amidst the ILLEGAL invasion and attack coming from Vladimir Putin and Russia. Here’s the question I have, are “we the people” willing to put up a fight to defend our own democratic republic from the Trump/Musk coup? That remains to be seen. But, I have to admit, the Project 2025 folks are implementing their plan – which I’ve called a “roadmap to fascism” and they’re counting on a passive response from Americans. They actually believe they have a “mandate” for this power grab.

And, as I’ve pointed out, including above – Trump will continue to “flood the zone” (his “smokescreen”) with things to get our focus off what is important to his coup partners and this weekend we got a good example of what I’m talking about. Trump initiated Tariffs against both Canada and Mexico (and China), which caused a real (negative) response on Wall Street – and, of course, by early afternoon these tariffs were “put on hold.” The explanation of why there was a “pullback” was because both Canada and Mexico will increase their efforts to fight the fentanyl crisis at their borders. (only about 43 pounds comes across our Northern border as opposed to a couple thousand pounds allegedly via our Southern border.) The way Paul Krugman puts it – the blowback is the “classic case of a bully getting hit back in the face and he runs away”). Trump is a bloviating idiot, he’s taking personal credit for his “dealmaking.” (Both Canada and Mexico “agreed” to policies they had already enacted! In fact, Mexico’s president got Trump to agree to stop the illegal guns going into Mexico)

I’ve asked this question before. What do “we the people” do when Trump decides he won’t follow the edicts of the courts – which appears to be the only possible “check” to Trump’s actions short of a major revolt coming from the people. In a way, the SCOTUS gave the impression they were ceding their authority to the presidency last year. Are they afraid of Trump like virtually EVERY republican in Congress? What is going to happen when Trump says FU to the court? Do you really believe the Justice Department under Pam Bondi or the FBI under that deplorable Kash Patel will intervene on the side of “we the people?” We have elected a wannabe organized crime boss to the presidency and we’re seeing in real time the level of DAMAGE he will be doing to our republic over the next four LONG years. As Ben Franklin once said when asked about our government ‘ “It’s a republic if you can keep it.”

People seem to have begun understanding the power of Social Media – I mean virtually 100% of the CEO’s of the Social Media platforms permeating throughout America were standing next to Trump as he took the oath of office (while refusing to put his hand on the Bible – a note to all you Christians who’ve made a “deal with the devil.”) How do we fight back against these greedy cowards. (I heard Zuckerberg is moving Meta’s incorporation from Delaware to Texas – so he can be like Musk). Not just Americans but people around the globe SHOULD immediately refuse to buy a Tesla. EV’s are great, I’ve been driving one since 2015 (and, never a Tesla). There are plenty of great options – I’m driving a Polestar and it’s every bit as nice as a Tesla – as I’ve said here before, without the Musk!

Final Thought: I’ve pointed out Trump is “flooding the zone” in order to keep “we the people” from keeping up with all the ILLEGAL bullying tactics in strategic areas where we won’t be paying attention to the actions making him the MOST money – he has no plans to honor our constitution’s emoluments clause. So, that’s one area to keep our focus one. That said, today Trump came out with maybe the STUPIDEST “plan” yet – keeping in mind he’s threatening Greenland, Panama, Canada, and Mexico with absurd demands. He ACTUALLY, today, suggested ALL the Palestinian people be removed from GAZA while the U.S. comes in, levels what’s left of the place and creates what Trump called the “Riviera in the Middle East.” (If you remember, he made a similar suggestion to Kim Jong Un regarding North Korea)

Apparently, Trump believes both Egypt and Jordan will take about a MILLION refugees each – on a permanent basis. And, he also suggested the U.S. would “own” the property. I’m sure Trump believes that’s a brilliant idea and would destabilize the Middle East any more than it is now – after the U.S. ILLEGAL invasion of Iraq a little over 20 years ago. Bibi Netanyahu was standing next to Trump as he rolled out his proposal – well, of course Netanyahu would be excited about this – he’s been doing EVERY thing he could to prevent the so-called “Two State sollution” for years. (There are credible reports Netanyahu and his government were aware of HAMAS’ plans for October 7th, as much as a year before the attack took place – and, yet, they left the border, essentially, unguarded. In my mind, Netanyahu is every bit as bad as Trump.

Add to this, it appears Trump wants to remove Palestinians from the West Bank as well, giving it to Israel. (That’s around 3 MILLION more “refugees”) Well, of course Netanyahu would love that idea. As I listened to Trumpo I couldn’t help think of all the Palestinians in Michigan who either didn’t vote for Biden, didn’t vote at all, or, in some instances voted for Trump. Nice Job! Mission accomplished! And, there were large amounts of young people who blamed President Biden for what Netanyahu was doing. I mean Trump gave a hint of what to expect when he named Mike Huckabee as the ambassador to Israel. If you’re not aware, Huckabee doesn’t believe Palestinians exist. The Huckabee’s are weird – which should have been obvious if you’ve listened to his daughter, Sarah, who once was Trump’s press secretary – the job of publically LYING for our convicted FELON of a president.

It is unquestionable “we the people” brought all this upon ourselves – and it’s affecting MILLIONS around the globe already. As a best case scenario, from my vantagepoint, it will take at least a GENERATION to recover from Trump 2.0, if it’s even possible. Just think for a moment, those of us on earth 1 still believe we can vote out republicans in Congress in 2026 – but, if you remember correctly, Trump promised his rabid Christian base they “wouldn’t need to vote anymore” after the 2024 elecion. Did you ever ponder what he meant by that? Do you actually believe future elections won’t be “rigged?” Do you believe the right wing voter suppression tactics will stop now that he’s in office once again? Personally, I believe there’s “stuff” going on “under the radar” that “we the people” aren’t paying attention to which this pathalogical LYING so-called president who’s a FELON 34 times over thinks will keep him if office indefinitely. We REALLY need to …. stay tuned!!!

One more thing – the more people who move off of Xwitter, facebook, and Instagram the better from my standpoint. And, not only should we REFUSE to buy Tesla’s but anything associated with Mark Zuckerberg SHOULD be off limits to buy for as many people as we can convince he’s wanting to “be like Musk.” The ONLY thing which will get the attention of these BILLIONAIRES is affecting their net worth. And, as far as the advertisers on their business, “we the people” should somehow organize a boycott of those products. If you remember all the corporations pulling away from the election deniers after January 6th – well, there were a bunch of them in the crowd as Trump was LYING about his “oath” to the constituion. Let Musk, Zuckerberg, Tim Cook of Apple, Google’s CEO, and the other tech BILLIONAIRES depend on the Seditionists and the rest of the extreme right wing for their income. There are alternative choices “we the people” can make as to how we spend our money.
